i felt 10 million was fair for livermore who isn't that good a player. snodgrass is a much better player but he's 29, like payet. Would be a bit ridiculous if marseille signed payet for 25 million and we're all here expecting the same amount for snodgras.. i think 15 million should have been the minimum.

Im more annoyed he might be going to Burnley of all places.

But has anyone thought that perhaps MS wants to build his own squad and don't mind snodgrass going?
Fair comment but Marco may only be here til the end of the season. IF we go down I can't see him staying. Maybe Snodgrass would rather go to a club like Burnley where they stick by and support their managers.

Nor I, just pointing out that there's nothing stopping us from changing the price.

And given how so many posters on here keep telling us how the Allams love to keep bumping up prices, well it's obviously going to happen isn't it. Personal terms agreed, medical completed. That'll be £20m now thanks.
Maybe because the contract will be subject to a lot of caveats. But once you agree a price with no get outs you can't get out.

The writing was on the wall that Snodgrass would leave the day the club insulted him by taking up the extension clause in his contract without offering him a new deal.
It's probably his best season as a pro footballer and Hull City didn't want to offer him a new contract instead they went for the cheap option with the 1 year extension.

That's why he's going.

Come on fellas.. its like meltdown on here whenever we sell a player.

Like the Livermore deal, Snodgrass would have made it clear he wanted to go. We've made a small profit on a player who had a serious injury a few years ago and most thought would never play again. Yes he's had a great start to the season but there's nothing to say he'd carry that form into the future. He was never THAT good for Norwich in the prem if I remember correctly, I believe it was only us who bid for him when Norwich went down.

Also before we start the very boring "lets blame Ehab" crap, im sure he would have consulted with Marco before selling. Silva comes out and says the right things in press conferences because lets be honest, he's not really going to say anything else, but im certain he would have approved the Livermore & Snodgrass deals. He's had time to assess and he probably thinks they arnt as important as many believe.

Lets wait till next Tuesday when the window shuts and see how we've spent the money. We could be sat here with a much better squad and some really exciting players to give us the best chance of staying up.

In Silva we trust.
I think he can advise on player purchases, sales and contracts but Ehab will make the decision.

Honestly is this day happening!?!?!? Snod can **** off and if Robbo goes to he can also **** off, pair of scotch arseholes
Whisky prejudiced are you?
They are Scottish and they are precious assets. Selliing Snodders for £10 makes no economic sense, let alone footballing sense. Hope Robbo syays.

Is it a good idea to offer someone with a history of long term injuries a huge contract on massive money when you're on the verge of relegation? When there is an option of a sensible 1 year extension sat there?

The club did offer him a new contract. It wasn't long enough though.

I wonder how much CityCalv thinks Robbo is worth? £4.5 million? Kin 'ell, that's twice as much we paid for him, we should bite their hands off if they offer us an amazing deal like that.

Behave, at least 10? If Burnley bid then one or two more might. Like snods

Yes, once the signing is confirmed. Either us or Burnley are free to change our minds or offer/ask for less/more until the deal is sealed.

It's the same in any business all over the country from a supermarket to an online retailer to buying/selling a house.
