I was the same age in 1954 when Danny halted our slide in his first game at man City.0-0!
I remember reading that Arsenal's manager Tom Whittaker arrived at the Villa chairman's house to sign Danny but only offered 28,000.
Arthur Rowe offered 30,000 and that was that.
There was a funny side to this.Apparently when the Arsenal manager arrived he was seen into the living room.Arthur was shunted into the kitchen....not at the same time!
If Whittaker had offered 30,000..............?
So,the working mans Tottenham got their man and the travelers from Woolwich did not. AMEN!

Name change complete, after years of enjoying the "Spurs or Sex?" username, I felt a change was needed.

Opted for Dier Hard. Dier ****s people up and Die Hard is a favourite film of mine... Goes well <ok>

Ohh its you, I thought it was Huddlefro, I'd already sold Dier in the transfer window on that basis.

At least this means we won't be selling...nice one SOS.

In all honesty mate you don't need to worry. I'm happy keeping the current bit, if anyone asks questions on it I'll just confuse them :). Or alternatively if you or any other mod wants to change it to anything of your choice I really don't mind.

Most mods can't change that bit, except for on their own profile. I've asked for yours to be done, though.
