She is a dyed in the wool Mackem and PB hater.

    Factor that in.

The Club can confirm that Ryan Mason continues to make excellent progress after sustaining a skull fracture in Sunday’s game against Chelsea.

He will continue to be closely monitored by staff at St Mary’s Hospital over the next few days, whilst also remaining in contact with our medical team to assess his progress.

There will be no further updates from the club until there are any changes in Ryan’s condition. We also ask that people respect Ryan & hi

The Club is encouraging supporters at Thursday’s EFL Cup Semi-Final game against Manchester United to show their support for Ryan Mason.

Mason suffered a fractured skull during Sunday’s Premier League match with Chelsea and underwent surgery after being taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London.

Ryan continues to make good progress and his team-mates have now chosen to show a public show of support on Thursday evening by wearing ‘Mason 25’ t-shirts during their pre-game warm up.

We would also like to encourage supporters to participate in a minute’s applause on the 25th minute in support of Ryan.

She's never hidden the fact that she supports Sunderland. In the 20+ press conferences I mustve been in when Brown was manager she was never anything other than respectful and pleasant.

The only factor here is he made up a preposterous story when at the height of his ego trip and she called him out on it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sounds like a bit of both. I'd like to think it wasn't.

I factor it in every article she writes about either us or SAFC..

And I haven't attended any press conferences.

Looking more encouraging for Ryan Mason. Excellent news; he's a fit lad and should progress okay.

I played a lot of football when I was younger and once got slight concussion from a clash with a goalkeeper. I wasn't out for more than three seconds and got straight up. The weird thing was before the knock everything was as it should be, I'm enjoying the game and the whole craic, but after the knock, I just felt...sad...upset, I don't know.
It's a strange thing is the human brain. Well mine is anyway.

Keep it up Ryan, you're doing so well.

A fan has asked Caleb Folan to contact the club regarding getting a picture of Mason put up on the board on Thursday for the 25th minute for applause.

I think it's good to show our support. He struggled to settle here and he'd just started getting back into the game again under Silva looking completely revitalized so it's good we show him we're behind him (especially as he won't have felt we were in the first half of the season with the abuse he was being given/moans/groans/cheers when subbed off/etc)

Why ask Folan, not the club?

Perhaps he thinks that Mike Pholan is still in charge?

I do. Why cannot the club just put his face on the big screen before the game with a get well soon message written underneath? n
Ian Ashbee had a career threatening bone disease and I don't remember a minutes applause or a call for one. Likewise Snodgrass last season and Odebejo this.
What happened to the days when the manager or captain would use the situation to 'win it for Ryan' ?
Also remember it was only last season when one of our ex-captains died relatively young and we didn't even have a minutes silence or applause for him.
