Fat Sam said something yesterday along the lines of ''until we hear Sunderland say he's not for sale we will continue to be interested''
How simple would that be for Ehab if this was the case?

My two biggest concerns are A - keeping snoddy (I am certain that won't happen though) B- keeping robbo, with a few left backs on the move I fear he is going to be snapped up, left back is one of those positions that after one or two move then clubs move

How has my 'tune changed dramatically? I don't appreciate your accusation of being bought, I thought you were better than that, but hey ho ....

... I'll state my position (again) just so you can't claim to be confused or ignorant of it:

My feelings toward the owners have not changed one iota; my thoughts and feelings are the same as they have consistently been for a very long time: which is more than I can say for a good many who post on here - whether or not you fit that particular cap I will leave it for you to decide, as I really couldn't give a ****. As I most recently said, I dislike the owners and what they have done; that's very strong from me as I have always reiterated that I don't hate them as hate is a very strong term to throw around - they do push any reasonable person to hating them, though, and I am close.

I still advocate not speaking to them (a contact letter is fine, but something indirect can be just as effective) until they show some intent to start addressing one or all of their ridiculous impositions and naming nonsense - concessions being one of them. I want them out, but I can no longer see what is being achieved by the self-harm of supporters - unless they really aren't that bothered about their club and footie in general. My love for footie has certainly taken a hit over the last few years.

I don't, never have and never will advocate or condone me or anyone else attacking the credibility of players and managers without giving them a fair chance of acquitting themselves.

That, in my opinion, is exactly what you are doing. You seem to have thrown your own principles away just for the sake of standing on some imaginary soapbox to lecture us on what we should be saying and doing. Supporting the team is, to me, very different to supporting the owners - we can distance ourselves from the team through boycotts, etc., but to use them as a pawn in the Allam campaign against supporters and the council is just plain daft and wrong. To attack their credibility, when they have joined us, is something I always thought we did after a honeymoon period of suck-it-and-see.

As I have also said previously, I am reserving my opinion on how this window will end until it actually does. I don't believe everything I read and hear, nor do I take other opinion on players as the be all and end all. I can see nothing wrong with a period of grace to let Silva do his job and the players grow into theirs. If saying I have enjoyed the performance of the team under Silva is traitorous, then so-be-it, in some other fool's world. I can assure you his looks change nothing for me - you daft ****. <doh>

If the owner ends up supporting the new manager and giving the team an outside chance of avoiding relegation, then I will recognise that and acknowledge it (on here), but that changes nothing about what he has done and why I want him out - it simply means I am not as narrow-minded and petty as he is.

You've spoiled this thread with your endless pursuit of PattyNchips2, it's hardly surprising to any of us that he responds, then Bengals jumps in, but on you go with your pointless abusive crusade - really, what is the point? Again, I thought you better than that.

No I haven't been bought, Sir Cheshire Ben, and the accusation is offensive; you couldn't buy me for all of the tea in China, however hard or aggressively you may try. <ok>

What a load of bollocks.

I haven't criticised the players or manager.

I've criticised the way they came & the way in which we have done the business. I believe it contradicts Ehab's statement that we're not a selling club. We are a smaller & thinner squad now than when Silva came.

In what way have I spoiled the thread? I offered my opinion. Pattie pursued a point, despite being wrong, & unable to grasp the concept of concessions, I merely responded. I think, if you check, the ****ish behaviour was his.

Bengalling stuck his beak in, as per his stalking personality dictates, with a load more bollocks. Do you not think I should respond to his continuous attempts at what is nothing more than attention seeking ****ism. I've done my best to ignore his pokes for a year now, I''ve let him set the level of the bar. He's set it. It's open house now. No holds barred.

If you feel I was questioning your principles, I apologise. It wasn't meant to come over like that, it was meant as a generalisation of many people's attitudes since Silva came in. They appear blinded by it & as such are conveniently forgetting, or ignoring, the realities.

See previous post ...

I'd prefer if you highlighted which parts were lies.

More crap from you.

Since Silva has come in, we've brought in 4 outfield players and lost 3.

Abel and now Junior have also back, so there's another 2 (even if you don't want to count them, we still aren't thinner, we've gained one and there's expected to be 4 more coming in)

Silva has made up far more balanced very quickly.

Ok, if you say so.

Who was available Jan 1st

Who's available on Thursday?

Bruce available Thursday? How about Snodger? What about McGregor? Elmo? Mbokani?

McGregor wasn't fit Jan 1st, and if you're seriously grasping at straws enough to claim that Elmo and Mbokani have been lost to the squad then you're being ridiculous. Bruce has himself said he is training with the first team and is fit, and Snodgrass is anyone's guess.
