Had JWP been allowed to take that penalty and convert, he'd have been joint third in league goals. It's a travesty that he was denied that opportunity.

Good penalty from Tadic there... missed most of this half due to work going mental.

So gutted about Virgil :(

Don't get me wrong, we were sensational today and I'm not discrediting our efforts today. But what has happened to Leicester? They didn't lose many players at all and they look like a shade of the team they were last season. Not once did they really mount a strong attack and looked awful on the ball the entire game.

If we presume Palace will get themselves competitive becuase of Allerdyce, Leicester could be in real trouble this season

I know you aren't supposed to say it, but Leicester were not a good team. They played deep all season and pumped it forward to an out-of-this-world Vardy. Kante hoovered up problems and Huth wrestled every striker to the floor. This year? Vardy not so great. Kante gone. Wrestling outlawed.

JWP and Cedric stand out.

PEH and Maya (again) excellent.

Well that's all a lot rosier. Hopefully VVD is only a 24 hour knock (though I suspect it'll be more like a couple of weeks, sadly).

It's what happens when a team over achieves and then gives their players crazy contracts.

This.

We may have been worrying about being dragged into a relegation scrap (well, some people were), but Leicester might well be. Fortunately for them at least one of the places has been taken with both hands by Sunderland.

Kante. The team was almost the same XI every week and Vardy hit a purple patch. I thought they would finish about 15th last season and they seem to be on course for that this season.

It's funny, I was debating with a Liverpool fan the other night about why teams outside the big 6 can't just simply say 'no' to players wanting to leave and offering them stupid contracts. I used Leicester as an example of a team that would be utterly stuffed if they got relegated with the contracts they offered after they won the league.
