Mr Trump said "it looked like" some 1.5m people had been there when he spoke at the US Capitol on Friday.
Later, his White House press secretary said it had been "the largest audience to ever see an inauguration, period.

Neither man has produced evidence to back their claims. And photographs appear to show many more attending the inauguration of Barack Obama in 2009."

I think what that shows is:

1) What a sad, small-minded fool he is to stoop to such a level that he instigates a whole press conference to argue a tweet of all things, just bcos they showed the low number of people on his inauguration. Pathetic and unbecoming.

2) What a coward and a child for disappearing like a **** after making the statement and not taking any questions.

3) Hope this approach antagonises the press and they turn on him in greater numbers. IF that's the way he is going to be I hope they make his every day in office a living hell.

Shouldn't some billionaire US reality TV 'star' be starting a campaign to 'prove' that Trump is not, in fact, American and was born in Scotland? Well, that was indeed his obsession with Obama and his Kenyan ancestry.

Yep..it's already started...during the campaign most of the press still refused to use the word liar even when fact checking...not so today..

Some tried to call it a Mourinho style distract from the protests..no one believed it because of his past history of infantile reaction to the slightest perceived insult.

He even threw the inauguration head of committee under the bus by sending him out to try and take the blame for the reaction but eventually he had to admit the entire reaction was to one single tweet by a NY Times reporter....CNN host stated that they hadn't once mentioned numbers throughout the day but now thanks to Trump's reaction it's the main headline.

It's the ratings...he still views it in terms of being a tv star. While ratings have always mattered to presidents he's really insecure to a point of psychopathy about them. If I was the press I'd make each approval ratings issued the main story...it'll drive him mad...

His meet up at CIA was a PR disaster too. Spent only 2 minutes of 15 talking about the CIA the rest on the numbers rant while cracking jokes...all in front of the memorial wall. Can you imagine if a PM cracked jokes in front of the cenotaph?

Oh and among the rambling and ranting did anyone hear him say "we should have took Iraqs oil...maybe we still will!".

Bring out every pro golfer who thinks he's crap at golf...

Terrible for her but have every crappy fashion reporter trash Mel's style and how she's starting to age....
