So was Bertrand at Aston Villa the season before we purchased him.

Indeed. If we're after him, and the club think he's good enough, then I'm more than happy to give him a chance. Martins Indi got some stick back in the summer for his recent form beforehand, but six months on and the few Stoke fans I know are very happy with him. You can't really equate form with one club with form at another, especially in a different country.

Martins Indi very similar to Sakho, I.e. Very clumsy, doesn't look natural, his physique is all limbs. What happened to Imbula, came as record signing and I would suggest from what I've seen he is the midfield version of the aforementioned players.

I never said it did, however it is rare to find a player available with no blemishes or risks.
Especially at our price level....and even the top clubs buy a player and hardly use them before shipping them out again. Saints believe if they choose the players with the right skills and character, they will get more out of them than other teams. Confidence may be misplaced in some cases, but generally ok.

Puel has said he's in no hurry to replace Fonte,so don't be surprised if no one comes in.
Puel is only Reed's spokesman,Reed will see another 8 million coming in the front door and be sweating that Puel may ask for a fraction of it to buy a replacement.
Anyone would think Reed owns the club himself,it's his toy and he shall play how he wants.
Give Stephens a shot @ it,he's got to be more mobile than Fonte and quicker.
I wonder how long VVD takes to be unsettled?
I do feel sorry for Puel he's just Reed's play thing,I'm not sure Reed likes a strong character or someone who comes with his ideas hence Pelegríni.

Damn you are negative

Would Dembele from Celtic be too much? Obviously you're allowed to raid one club as much as you like these days so may as well!

Makes logical sense. He seems like a decent goalscorer, which we need. And sounds like he could play for one of the big boys later in his career, who we'd be willing to sell to him to.
