What the hell are you talking about man ?! It's only bad for West Brom who messed up with him and have made a fraction of what they could have on a very young player full of quality who has openly stated he wanted to leave them for about 2 seasons now. Everything else you said is junk.
Stoke now get a nice option up front in an evolving team that is showing real signs of progression. Will be interesting to see how he fits in with Arnautovic, Shaqiri, Bony, Allen even. I like the direction Stoke are going in.
To call him a 'fat unfit bastard' is ridiculous, he's slightly less than match fit, he'll need a few hundred minutes of solid game time to get up to speed which he will get quickly at Stoke as he will be playing for them a lot. Do you think he's just been sat on his arse all this time skipping the gym and doing zero cardio, playing no football at all ?? Of course not, he'll still be in physically peak shape but won't be 'match sharp' i.e. reactions, positioning that kind of thing because that's something you can't truly replicate without playing real matches. The way you simplify it is pretty ******ed lad.
This is basically a sideways move looking at the table. He should have been starting all the time for WBA, their main forward, but because the relationship with the club was bad he wasn't playing at all. At Stoke he has a fresh start, good feelings between club and player so he will play and he will do well. It's a good move for the player. It's only Stoke you might say, but at a big club he wouldn't get the same game time and would spend a lot of time on the bench.
At Stoke he can get a couple solid seasons of football under his belt, score some goals, get back on the radar and in the media as a new starlet playing quality football rather as that guy with a problem with his club and in a few seasons look at moving somewhere that's higher up the table.
