I'd like to know who's even available thats better than our current staff.

I'm not really hearing of much availability... obviously morgan the snide is a great buy but lfc are precluded from buying filthy manc cast offs.

what i know thus far:

arsenal bought a kid
Burnely took in a stray mutt
chelsea nobody
palace bought schlupp
everton bought an expensive kid and morgan
hull brought in 3. but one was naisse
Liecester.. some lad for big moeny i never heard of from genk
city nobody
utd nobody
boro bout gestede (useless)
southampton nobody
stoke grant from derby
swansea 3 guys including tom carroll
spurs nobody
watford some everton cast off
west brom nobody
west ham nobody

so.... its not like lfc are worse off cos their top 6 rivals all brought in class acts!

it looks to be a hard market this winter. I'm not seeing anyone who's readily available to go get nor any rumours either
Every window we're usually linked to everyone who's available in any position, in any team, in any part of the world. Things have definitely calmed down on that front with Klopp's arrival. He's more of a no player is better than the wrong player type of manager. Not as interesting for the fans watching the daily rumours but good to see no panic buys.

I would like to think they are working away behind the scenes though, as we really need some quality cover all over.

You have to give youngsters a go, he looks a tidy player.

TAA is a good lad. he would develop rapidly especially playing against swansea... the only game we really need clyne for is your one.

And yeah gomez couod play RB as he has done and yes milner could go rb as he's right footed.

2. chuff off... average ones are not good to us. we've lots of kids who are as average as that. none of them are good enough. they'd all end up being barely scraping the bench.. nobody needs that

1. Didn't see TAA play against united but that is his 2nd appearance and from what i read (i might be wrong) he gave he ball away a few times dangerously and got roasted by martial a couple of times. He could go onto be a superstar but he has literally come from nowhere and started. I know klopp is great at developing players but is he realistically good enough cover for a top 4 potentially.

As for Gomez, i thought he had a good start for a potential recruit but was quite average if you compared him to a standard CB. Like another wisdom who had the potential but needs it to develop. Irrespective of whether you thought he was the bees knees or thought he was some who was okay but with the potential like me, he's just come back from 2 serious injuries and is quite unknown at RB so again you are going out on a limb to say he is adequate cover at RB.

2. Yeah admittedly you probably don't want average. The players i mentioned on their day are pretty good, it's just that lack that consistency. Antonio is getting on a bit so is probably ruled out. I actually think Delofeu could be excellent if he developed some of his skills. Quick, pretty technical, just lacks a brain, a left foot, and is a bit light weight.

As for Arnautovic, i reckon he could be a beast although he hasnt been that great this year.

I think we have a strong enough squad to give lads a chance, you don't know if they are good enough unless they are given an opportunity. We've wasted enough money buying ****e over the years that I'd rather we gave Lads a chance than making more mistakes in the transfer market.

TAA didn't have the best of games at OT but he'll be aware of that and looking to improve, I've no problem with him being cover.

I do agree with all of this .. but .. we could cite the Plymouth game as giving them a chance gone wrong.

Well lets hope that you guys give Moreno more time to develop please... he's still young-ish and has some great attributes

The only movement is [HASHTAG]#relegationcandidates[/HASHTAG] and Everton who are [HASHTAG]#desperate[/HASHTAG] to deflect attention from their [HASHTAG]#seasonover[/HASHTAG]

A formative experience that shouldn't have been the semi-final of a cup, when we really don't need to pack in any more fixtures.
You're getting mixed up with the League Cup.
It's a valid point though, if we get knocked out tonight it's no longer a good idea.
**** happens though if we want them to improve they need competitive games and they should be able to beat Plymouth.

You are right is early days for TAA and he got his eyes opened v utd. early on martial was getting at him but but the hour mark it was martial getting taken off. now.. thats cos he's no end product but still.... he is 18 but in the end gomez was 18 and he did well enough at LB on his wrong side to show what he could do. Klopp and LFC with respect to your clubs success are not going to just buy players this guy is the guy going to be developed

On gomez. Again... rogers did him zero favours putting him at LB. he has no left foot at all. He's also quicker and bigger than wisdom but i take the point, he certinly has had two bad injuries that can take all his pace awat and we need to see if its there...

but we've enough not to need to go out and buy one for no reason if we have clyne fit and able.

Who wants average then.. everyone you quoted are at mid table sides and stuck on the bench like lennon or worse at palace doing shag all.

Arnautovic is very inconsistent. he is good on his day no doubt but the form dips very very badly.

You're right I did get the cups mixed up <laugh>

I think the best way to develop the youngsters is give them real game time in ones or twos not necessarily en masse in a game we think we'll win comfortably.

If we lose tonight you're right.

Problem may well be that we have so many who seem very good at the moment that it's probably time to make a decision, they can't all stay.

Agreed with this but you can see when hes on it hes the standout player but he also has technical ability and physicality. The same could be said for Mane who was pretty inconsistent at Southampton but was a livewire and now hes one of your best performing players even if he does frustrate.

Did mention this before, he's very similar to Wenger in the terms of signings..
If the right player isn't available then he won't sign players for the sake of it!
He's got his long term targets and will most likely be working with our team on getting those deals in place in time for the Summer window.
That's the hope anyway!

Klopp hints at no signings. "I can't wait until 31st Jan"

If he was thinking of a signing he wouldn't refer to the last day of the window.
Could be he has made approaches but won't piss about dragging it until end of window ie do deal now or not at all type thing.

We all know how agents and selling clubs work nowdays.
