Papers today are saying Blackburn, Valencia and Getafe all want Sol Bamba for 3M. I would sell after how good he has looked so far this season. The reason we went all out for Matt Mills is because there isnt any other decent centre halfs out their. Unless he wants to go I would keep him and I dont think Sven will want to sell him either.

So 3M or Sol Bamba. I would rather Bamba at the minute

money atm is not an issue for us, and in selling Bamba we would then be a little short of quality cover at CB, especially with SSL being an international player and Ball lacking match fitness. so for me, it's a no brainer. keep Bamba.

Agreed. We've found a partner for Sol in Mills who seems to be perfect for him and we're creating conditions in which Bamba has the best chance of prospering because he can be one the best CB's in this league on his day. I could understand if Bamba wanted to go to Valenica but I don't think he's good enough to play in the 1st team. Blackburn are just a sinking ship right now, Getafe I don't know much about but I don't think it'd be worth Sol moving all his family from the UK where they're all settled to go to an average Spanish side when we have the potential to achieve so much more.

Unless he hands in a transfer request, I don't think we will accept.

This is a no brainer - Bamba to wear a Leicester shirt next season in the PL!

No way, keep Sol, a true fan favourite, willing to die for the shirt, would be very difficult to replace him.

Plus he gives us power in both boxes, as soon as he signed we looked threatening from set pieces, something which we were struggling to do before he came in

So we're all in agreement about Bamba for once!

I wonder if our opinions will change in a couple of months ;)

Last season i was ever indifferent on Bamba but since Mills came in he has looked class. Not surprising considering the centre halfs we had at the end of last season was all still learning (Mee, Bruma and Vitor). While Mills, Bamba and St. Ledger have all played for a number of seasons now

According to sky Blackburn as closing in on signing Sol Bamba

Steve Kean is looking to bolster his defensive options and admits he is closing on Leicester's Sol Bamba.

Blackburn have been left short at the back following the sale of Phil Jones to Manchester United.
With their options now limited, they are all the more determined to fend off any interest in highly-rated centre-half Chris Samba.

They are also keen to add before the transfer window slams shut, with Kean aware of the need to have cover in all areas of the field.

He said: "Even if Chris (Samba) had been playing and fit we have always been searching for a centre back because we haven't replaced Phil Jones yet and we want to make sure we have good competition for places.

"If Gael Givet or Grant Hanley get injured then we don't have a centre-back because Ryan [Nelsen] is still injured. We certainly need another centre back."

    Offer

One option available to Blackburn is Bamba, who has impressed during his time at Leicester.
Kean admits the 26-year-old is a target for Rovers and he is hopeful that a deal can be done to bring the Ivory Coast international to Ewood Park.

He said: "We are quite close.

"An offer has been put in and we are trying to progress that although it is slow. The good news is it hasn't been rejected so we are moving forward."

****, let's hope Sol has sense and realises just how **** it would be to play for Blackburn Rovers.

**** ground, no fans and regular thumpings. Still, all the chicken he can eat

Blackburn will struggle this seasaon to stay up - i hope he doesnt go for us and for him! How many players will regret there decision if we do go up: Maynard,Davies,Naughton and potentially the Yak for not lowering his wage demands!

That's what I thought. Don't think it'd be the best move for him. He's only 26 so it's not a now or never PL move for him. We have a much brighter future than Blackburn.

By the end of the season we will be in the prem anyway. If we get 4-5M offered then i would consider it but 3M we should reject.

If Bamba does go who do people want to see come in

If Sven won't sell Waggy or Oakley, who aren't even first choice for him, then surely he will want to keep hold of a first choice player

Its not also down to Sven. Maybe Sven thinks he can get a better player for 3M+

Tunchev isnt up to being first choice and he will be a squad player and I dont think St. Ledger is good enough to be first choice either. Tough choices
