If you can trade the half-hearted Kone for Jagielka and McCarthy you're robbing them in I reckon.
McCarthy is 2 years younger than Kone and has much more experience playing well in the Premiership. From what I've seen of Kone he had a good half season of playing like a beast and professing happiness at being at Sunderland and has then spent half a season stropping about. Even a straight one-for-one would be a good deal for you guys, push Denayer back into defence if needs be.

That's what you think but then BAM! We start spending, 200K on a division two player here, class player in his 40s with a broken leg there, you just wait and see.

Just thinking Moyes Everton buys were often uninspiring but were gems (eg Jagielka , Coleman ) - I'm grasping through the mist here mind that it'll happen here

I would take Ulloa at the moment. Not sure who you think we are going to attract at this stage and I think Defoe could play off him quite nicely. If we can get a forward and a midfielder with a bit of creative quality in, then that's the best we can hope for I reckon.
