If this idea takes off and others want to contrubute perhaps its worth stickying?

Newcastle might be top but both their strikers are now suffering long term injuries, and apparently mad cnut Ashley has decided to tell Rafa he cant just choose transfer targets because Ashley eants to sign young players as money making opportunities. There appears to be some serious disharmoney brewing.

Brighton, what can you say.. Their luck has to break at some point and will have a blip and ince pressure comes we can expect them to buckle.

Reading. If we cant finish above Reading we dont deserve to go up. Stam is a tactical pygmy.....

There are no other promotion rivals!

Newcastle have the squad to cope with the injuries. Brighton are the ones that might fall away, hughton has done a good job since getting there. Were no ones choice when he joined so possibly punching above their weight. Beat them and the wendies and we are definitely in with a shout of the autos <ok>

Good thread: may even be relevant <laugh>

Newcastle have won this league and so they should they have spent almost £40m on players, and actually made £40m offloading superstars. So in this fooking unfair era of parachute payments we have club who can spend fook all and have the best and largest squad in the league. They then receive £16m to rub it in. However they are a well run business and offloaded all their stars allowing them to spend, but the £16m parachute payment kills it.

Brighton have done it again and now 3rd season on the bounce Houghton has got them into contention. They have a new ground and new board with new investment, and so are investing in good players and deserve to be there. Difference between Brighton & Leeds is that they own their new ground and got big money naming rights, whereas we dont own fook all except players, so although we earn more in gate receipts we pay more out in debt and rent and leases costs. Hopefully those days are going to be behind us as we will never compete in this league without investment and owning ground and training complex.

Leeds are by far, on present form the 3rd best team so am having them down for promotion at this stage knowing this will change and maybe even weekly, as other teams start to get their act together and other teams fall away. New contract for Monk would help, 2 new players would also help, but the squad have been brilliant and deserve to be 3rd.
