and (idiotically) assumed, as per my comment under the article, that they'd come to their senses, kicked AN's gormless butt out of the club and got Roy Hodgson in until (at least) the end of the season!

Whilst appreciating your desire to have a rant there is a practical problem here. As far as I am aware there is nobody interested in buying us - not even a Chinese investor. She has said for some time that she is prepared to sell to the right person and I'm sure that is now even more in her mind in view of the current situation. I would be a lot more worried if she was prepared to sell to the wrong person or thinking of turning the value of her shares, the internal debt she is owed and the catering investment into external debt and just walked away. It is unrealistic to think that she will just walk away and leave her money behind so personal abuse aimed at her might end up counter productive.

After taking vitriolic abuse from a few idiots he finally bit and had a go back by saying OK then I resign, a few hours later he retracted his resignation but finally realised he had put himself in an untenable situation, so hey, let the fans direct their abuse and see if we can destroy a bit more of our club!

He had several alternative options.
He could have a) blocked the offenders, or had a skivvy do it for him.
b) closed his twitter account.
c) shown the thick skin needed by CEO's everywhere and turn a blind eye.
d) shown his distaste of the cul-de-sac route the board was taking re: progress
of the club by resigning....ah, now we're getting somewhere <ok>

FFS Man where have you been living these past three months, a cave? She clearly stated in that Times article that she had no intention of selling to anyone and her shares would be passed on to het nephew. Basically this club is going to hell in a hand cart and that silly bitch can't keep dining out on the fact she once saved us from oblivion.
She has been here far too long and the time for change is way overdue, personally I wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire but I think you already know that <ok>
