He is not going to openly say that he doubts the ability of his strikers with games coming and hard and fast.

Yep. And the fact that he's now hinting otherwise is probably the surest sign that we actually have something in the works. Managers all take a different approach to these things, and whereas Koeman was pretty blunt, Puel has been exceedingly cautious and oblique in his statements thus far. If Koeman made such a statement, I'd assume that he was pushing gently but nothing was likely to come of it (contrasted with his "pushing hard to increase pressure", which we saw last winter, and Everton's board saw a few days ago)...with Puel, I assume it means that offers have been made and we're expecting an addition.

We will always be looking for more then one player. Gabbiadini is first choice, but we don't want to pay the £22m they want, as he is not worth that
