I really hope we can sort the Fonte situation out. Otherwise one of Maya/Virgil is going to have to play every game leading up to the semi final.
Yep. And I know Leicester won't beat Chelsea but if they did ....Looking at the table did just make me wince a bit. Like looking at your bank balance just after Xmas and New Year.

Indeed. Not least because the absolute best we could realistically finish this season is 7th. Which potentially results in a EL qualifying place (if the FA Cup winner comes from the top six). Whereas winning the League Cup results in, erm, a definite EL qualifying place.
Our next 6 league games consist of
Leicester (h)
Swansea (a)
West Ham (h)
Sunderland (a)
Arsenal (h)
Watford (a)
Huge run of fixtures. The same **** cannot keep happening.
Season ticket holder since I was 10 so 14 yrs. Also been to 70%+ of away games in the past 5 yrs. Also watch a lot of the youth matches as well. Hence why I know a fair bit about the youth.Unbelievable???..90 mins a from Wembley final and you don't give a f**k!!!
Do you actually go to Saints games and support them???...or just come and on here and try to look clever???

I'd like to "like this" a zillion times. It's about time that Puel realised Long can't play up front on his own. Everyone else has known it for about... His whole career
But we put in loads of crosses and we hardly score because we lack a focal point, I am sure Pelle would have scored some.
I'd go as far as saying 7th isn't even that realistic tbh.
9th-15th for me.
We should sign another CB straightaway, and then sort out the Fonte situation. Worst case scenario, if Fonte doesn't go, we can start using Yoshida as a striker.
Yep i agree.puel is doing what he can with the players he has. But ijust think that some of the aspects of the tactics are blunting our attack and its having an effect on the players in my opinionI blame the board for that. Puel has no say about selling 99% of players. Long as they realise their mistake and sort it in the window, I will be happy.
Maybe Saints are in need of a little match tread magic from myself?
Ah, so that's our plan!It would be quite nice if we could get those first two games snowed off. Then all six could be played after we've hopefully tried to deal with our issues in the transfer window.
(Although that could result in a bit of a fixture pile-up later in the season, thereby bringing everyone's favourite topic of rotation back onto the table...)
I agree, however I want to quash the recent Pelle calls. Last season Pelle was generally poor. He still came out with a few goals as he always did because he is the sort that does that but he went on long spells without goals. His game last year was not great and we played much better (including our end of season run) when he didn't play. I remember most people saying that he wouldn't start much the following season and when the rumours about him leaving came, it was understood. Mane then left. I didn't enter the season thinking we'd miss Pelle. I can say that we have missed him, or his goals, or his presence, or something, but it was 100% understandable why he went and at the time didn't seem an issue. Mane wasn't great last year, but had enough moments to add his goals and get us results.
What has happened is that we haven't clicked in our play (and partly a more conservative style of play), with no-one grabbing the goals. The main difference has been that white thing going in the net. It isn't as enjoyable because it hasn't quite flowed, but I am prepared to keep faith with Puel, hope the board get him a couple of new players and let's see what he does over the next four months and the first three months of next season.
I'll get on soonMaybe don't pick the Norwich replay though. If there's one game where few fans will shed a tear if we lose...
