Be nice if we were in the market for players like that.
As usual we will be heading off to Aldi on the last day of the sales to see what's left and more importantly, who wants to come here.

If only football clubs were like supermarkets. Then we could ring their offices at ten to 11, when they put the cost of things down by 90% :emoticon-0116-evilg May get someone decent in then?

Lyon are reportedly interested in signing on-loan Manchester United attacker Adnan Januzaj.

The Belgian international is currently in the middle of a season-long loan from Man United to Sunderland, where he has made 13 Premier League appearances this term.

As it stands, the 21-year-old will spend the remainder of the 2016-17 campaign with Sunderland before returning to Old Trafford, but according to L'Equipe, Lyon will attempt to snatch the attacker from the Stadium of Light.

The report claims that the Ligue 1 outfit are preparing to approach Man United with an offer, although it is currently unclear whether Januzaj is the subject of another loan move or a possible permanent transfer.

Januzaj has scored five times in 63 fixtures for Man United, but a difficult 2015-16 campaign saw the Belgian manage just one goal in seven appearances.

Jeremain Lens is set to be one of the big January talking points as Fenerbahce look to keep him at the club for the long-term.

The 29-year-old Dutch international has spoken of his happiness at life playing for the Turkish giants, with his father pledging to speak to the Sunderland hierarchy to try and secure his future in Istanbul.

However, having signed for the Black Cats for an £8 million fee, Dick Advocaat’s side are likely to be sent packing unless they deliver a significant sum. Sunderland have paid short shrift to any swap deal, with striker Emmanuel Emenike and Lens’ fellow countryman Gregory van der Wiel linked as makeweights.

Lens has been in good form since leaving Wearside in the summer and could attract interest from across Europe in the summer when his loan expires.

West Ham United, meanwhile, have revealed why their bid for Jermain Defoe came in at a paltry £6 million.

Co-chairman David Gold took to social media to tell Hammers fans that the 34-year-old would have no sell-on value at the end of his deal if he signed for the London club. Gold came in for scathing criticism from the club’s fans after reports of a £12.5 million bid for Brentford’s Scott Hogan.

Cleverley's a decent player I wouldn't be upset about that for a low price. I'd be happy with Jenkinson for 3 mil too, Arsene must still be feeling in the Christmas spirit.

You must watch different games to me! Neither of these are much cop IMO. Cleverley was poor every time I have seen him play and Jenkinson is a walking red card

We do have history for letting players go on the cheap though.

Recently we have actually started refusing offers. It feels rather strange somehow.

I hadn't noticed Jenkinson getting loads of reds so fair enough if that's true. Always looked a decent player to me, athletic and a threat going forward. Cleverley ain't great or anything and neither is Jenkinson but I'm assuming from what the club have said and from what we know that players of their calibre are as good as we're going to get, sadly.

I'd say that's about right for his value as a left back, he's piss poor every time I've seen him until he crosses the half way line, then he probably becomes a £12m player.

If Moyes bought a proper LB, I reckon VA could do some damage as an attacker.

Marouane Fellaini: Man Utd boss Mourinho triggers midfielder's contract extension
please log in to view this image

Marouane Fellaini has made 21 appearances for Manchester United this season in all competitions
Manchester United have triggered a clause in Marouane Fellaini's contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2018.
Fellaini signed a four-year deal with the option of a further year when he joined from Everton for £27.5m in 2013.
United boss Jose Mourinho has activated the option despite uncertainty over the 29-year-old midfielder's future.
Fellaini was booed by his own fans last month but scored in the EFL Cup semi-final win against Hull on Tuesday.
The Belgium international ran to Mourinho to celebrate his goal in what seemed to be a show of recognition for the faith shown in him after a difficult period, which included giving away a costly penalty at Everton on 4 December.
Speaking after Tuesday's victory, Mourinho said: "He has a very strong mentality and has coped well.
"He knows he is a very important player for me."

I just hope it's to get more value from a sale.

    Would love him here!

He has sporadic decent games from what I've seen - too few and far between for you guys but he was excellent for Everton - perfect level would be us if we can graviate to a mid table regular spot

You can see he can still be a very effective player of course. I've got a feeling Jose will play him against Liverpool, god I hope not.

Perfect replacement for Mkhitaryan if he's playing the 10 role and needs to come off at 2-0 up. He can kill a game effortlessly.
