Just hope we can find another striker that is good in the air........This does not mean the disruptive JET returning, he can stay at Gillingham...
He disrupts the other sides net more than Washington and Poulter.

Poilter fee agreed & medical in next 48hrs, seem to be all leaving in a hurry, no we need incomings asap

I think he'll definitely be missed. He's only not playing because Holloway doesn't rate him. His record for us has been ok. Definitely good enough to be on the bench and it leaves us incredibly short of strikers. Stupid move IMO.

Whilst I agree that we could do with him for options, if he's truly unsettled then it's best to let him go. We've doubled our money on him, and he gave his all for us in the short time he was here, best of luck to him.

If we can't get rid this window we should just pay off the rest of his contract.
Whether we do or not, we should sue Redknapp. He is the only manager on the planet who would have persuaded his owners to fork out £6-8M on someone who was already injured before he had even kicked a ball for us. Looks like a clear misrepresentation to me. It would be interesting to know what the medical showed up and what was said to mitigate the obvious financial risk

Didn't think Poulter was the best player in the World but when we are not scoring you don't sell a striker. Will be sort of sad to see him go as he gave 100%. WE are losing a lot of players and if we are not careful it will end up like Hollow... first time when 8 players turned up for training. Maybe he wants that?
I also cannot believe that Ravel Morrison is at Wigan? <doh> We never learn do we.

Rumours going he was unsettled in london!! His wife & kids are in Germany, liked him & was a hit with fans & a tryer.

Sadly Hollow.... thinks that every player must be like Jamie Mackie and give 1000%, clap to the fans during warm ups and run around like headless chickens. Anyone who doesn't cry during a Sky interview is frozen out or shown the door. I don't buy into all this kissing of the badge crap. Would rather have an Adel who can play football than someone who runs up blind alleys with little skill.
In reality, we need skill as well as commitment. I don't want to see up and coming League One players (been there done that and failed). I also don't want so crap loan from Manure (been there done that and failed). I don't want to see some player on his last pay day (been there done that many times and failed).
I want to see good Championship players that can win in this division, a proven striker that can score and a leader but sadly we all know what will happen as our chairman never learns.
And before Hollow.... says about players not wanting to come to team down the bottom? who took us there because JFH didn't. 70% loss rate is shocking!
It will be a long cold winter for QPR.

So if reports are true (which they seldom are) we'll be bringing in £7m in fees for Chery/Polter + possibly a fee for Smithies if he goes as well as freeing up Sandro's salary which compared to what others team are looking to spend isn't a lot even if re-invest the full amount (which is doubtful) so will we finally splash the cash or just continue to shop in Poundland & hope for the best?

Another ck up signing by our badly run club! Anyone know the last time we made a profit on a player?

Couldn't help but enjoy the irony on the club website...the first thing I saw on the front page was;

'January Sale now on, up to 25% off in the January sale.'

A further look at the website, and our squad, shows the only strikers we'll have left are Yeni, Mackie, El Kayahti, Washington and Sylla. Of those, and forgive me if I am wrong, Sylla and Washington are the only two out and out strikers...and have records of scoring played 24 scored 3 (Washington) and played 18 scored 6 (Sylla). This suggests we should have Sylla up front with others in support, but neither record sets the heart racing. Polter wasn't really a prolific goalscorer for us (10 goals in 51 appearances according to wiki), but if his departure doesn't release funds for a goalscorer to come in, we are in serious trouble.
