Being realistic in our predicament:

James McCarthy – a player I really like, out of favour at Everton and since we’re ridiculously light on the ground in midfield because Catts, Kirchoff & Rowell are injured 90% of the time I reckon he’d be a good fit.

If I could choose any player in the PL:

Laurent Koscielny – we badly need a CB IMO as I don’t think Papy is up to it (though has improved more recently). Ball playing CB and chips in with a goal now and again.

Could have named plenty like Hazard, Aguero etc. etc. etc but went for something a bit different.
eer Rowell retired years ago, do you mean Rodwell

Realistically, I'd take Shane Long. Southampton aren't all that keen on him anymore. Well at least their fans aren't.

This. Always thought he was a very clever, hardworking player who would be a good fit for us.

If money was no object I'd take a goalscoring midfielder like De Bruyne or Alli, since none of our midfielders have even managed to get one yet...

He's like Borini, but better, and scores goals.

Money no object? Think I'd be inclined to go with Matic. Very underrated player, imo.

I wouldn't thank City for him. He's absolute horse ****.
Get us up the pitch when under pressure and force teams to keep a few players back. He's not amazing like but a good deputy for Watmore in his absence who can do similar. De Bruyne obviously better but couldn't see that ever happening!
