By way of a diversion, a little mock up video of how Spurs' new ground will look for 2018/19 season. Very impressive apart from the American Steroid Football bit. 60,000 seats I believe, unless safe standing introduced before then. http://www.not606.com/threads/new-stadium-plans.297537/page-18
looks really generic if you ask me, i'd much rather the CCS which has a bit of character about it, this just seems soulless, i do like the big stand and how close the fans are to the pitch though
The "home end" has been designed to replicate the Liverpool Kop, to provide a large, home intimidating area. The rest of the ground is on 3 levels, but 2 sections in the home end. Agreed it has the bowl effect of most modern grounds but by having a complete wrap around it maximises available space with no empty corners and will also keep sound inside the stadium. As we know from 3/4 years ago and recent Wales games COS has the same effect when full.
Same area as WHL, starting at Paxton End of present ground (which is why they have opened up the north east corner of the present ground to commence construction) and then north. Agreed, not the most salubrious of areas but what football ground is? The only ones I have been to in better areas are Yeovil, Torquay and, to a degree, Fulham. All the other London grounds I have been to are in crap areas, QPR, Chelski and Millwall being amongst the worst.
Went to the Lane more than a few times in late '60's early '70's always enjoyed my time up there. (Had friends in Winchelsea Road, Tottenham at the time)
