a good move for all concerned it seems. A lot of money for charlton to work with and a good move for a good young player. We will see when he gets introduced, i guess he might get a game or might not depending on the how we settles

Charlton were after him back on loan but Everton rejected apparently cos they see him playing a part in rest of season.
Their wide options are limited in quality so would make sense I suppose

forgot he was still with us. Do think he could be one that see playing for lower Prem club in 2-3 years though
All I can remember is that league cup (maybe FA cup) game when Klopp put him in one time and he was blowing so much he looked like a 60 a day smoker

he is as jaffa says aged so this would be his last contract and i think he knows it'd be better NOW than in 18 months time to get the best deal.

He knows VvD is off soon so thought if I hand in transfer request then may force them to offer me new contract for good money knowing won't want to lose both of them

Cant see him getting near united first team. Not at his age and fact Mourinho will prob go splash another £30m on cb in summer.
As a relatively short term fix adding experience to that back line I could see it tbh.

at this point you would assume the guy would be an improvement to utd. however its not exactly a ideal fit if Bailly is mourinho's choice. both play rcb.
not thats not to say it wouldn't happen nor that it would not be an ideal pairing.
It will be interesting to see what happens.

I post it as the bargain bucket does seem to be a favoured spot for LFC right now. players running out of contract seems to be where our transfer policy goes rather than just that have to have player.

You've obviously not followed Charlton's fortunes over the last couple of years (why would you as a pool fan!), but I can assure you, using the money to strengthen the squad will be the last thing on our owners mind!!
Probably replace Lookman with a couple of non-entities from his network of clubs, chosen by his 18 year old chief scout (based on FM).
