If i were anyone in a transfer setting be it manager or scout or direcotr with the cheque.. If i heard one of my players were linked ot china I would drop him form next game squad and when he asked i'd tell him to go shut it agent up and he must be ****ing desperate to be linking himself to china.

If a player i was in for or was looking at was linked i would thin kthat the agent is depserate to move hi mand there must be something wrong.

boney here represents everything wrong with the game today

    a) moved purely for money

    b) got a loan and didn't bother his hole

    c) out to engineer some move or other again.

at no time does it seem this jackass realised that if he actually performed (requires work and fitness) that all this would take care of itself.

So basically you'd be a mini Paolo Di Canio and the dressing room would revolt? <laugh>

    Talking of GK and defence...

I'd love a double swoop from Southampton <laugh> for Forster and Van Dijk.

Both much better than what we have now.

Forster is solid, but I don't think he is the top level of Lloris, Cech, De Gea and Courtois which is what we need

Never been convinced with Forster. Looks shaky at times and for big guy isn't massively dominant in the box.

VvD seems to have been affected by transfer talk. Been bit iffy in last few weeks along with his poor sending off 2 games ago

Yeah, not a fan of Forster. He makes some good stops but doesn't command his area enough. Virgil and Fonte are their defensive leaders, not forster. Solid keeper but not a top 4 one

Agreed, the trouble is those keepers are few and far between. Perhaps Forster is the next best we could potentially get?

The issue is the keepers mentioned are all playing for the big clubs, put's Liverpool in a **** situation tbh. A good keeper over a season is so vital, we need to end this 30 (ish) year nonsense and get someone who can stick around for years.

Not happening for a while, due to availability. Unless we find the next big keeper?

    OK one answer question...

    Migs, Karius, or Forster?

Forster for now. Karius may improve with time, I know that's what Klopp is hoping. Ideally we need an older experienced sod to manage the sticks for a few years. Someone proven good.

Either of the first 2 rather than spending £15m on someone that's not an awful lot better

Anyway, no Mane now for January. Firmino will miss the chav game. Sturridge is possibly injured. Coutinho may take time to get up to speed. Same with Matip. Henderson has a heel issue again and may be gone a while.

Personally I think all this leaves us massively short. With the position we are in, with top 4 in our hands and potentially a trophy, it would be criminal if we didn't strengthen in a few areas this month.

    Good response.

What do people think of Kasper Schmeichel? Looked awful when he was young and was a bit iffy in Leicesters first year. Nowadays he's looking pretty sharp. Could be more dominant in the box but unlike Forster, theres an aura of confidence that Kasper gives me even if leicester are doing ****.

Other than that Pickford looks like a brilliant prospect. Needs to get better in the air but is capable of pulling worldies off and doesn't seem to be prone to any clangers (yet)

I think Kasper is pretty solid keeper to be fair. Again for the price he's cost I don't think he's that good to be spending £20m on though, especially at 30 only going to get another 3/4 year out of him at his best really.

Said same about pickford few times. Brilliant stopper, short ass keeper though and doesn't dominate his box (maybe with few more years experience he'll be better though).

For me I would say kasper schmichael is a solid and experienced goalkeeper but he is certainly not all that the Leicester fans make him out to be.

If his name as kasper jones he'd not be so highly rated.

the guy did well coming out of city to establish himself in the championship and he's have a really great run in the prem for his troubles. Sometimes sticking i none club pays off it seems.

I agree BTW on pickford. its not that long ago people were raving about this shot stopper at sunderland.... called mingolet. or how great ben foster looked on FF cos he had a tonne of saves to make.

Pickford's done ok but the measure of class as a goal keeper is in concentration, organisation and just being there when the defence fails. if your side concedes 2 a game but you are looking a hero thats not great is it. when your side is midtable or top 6 and you don't make errors then you get a rep... thats my opinion anyway.

Didn't realise kasper was that old. Thought he was still quite young lol. Thinking about it he has been around for ages but only been decent the last couple of years which is why i thought he was still young

    now as for GKs.

    Ratings:

    1. de gea. Despite i think 3 poor goals conceded this year he is still the gold standard. Utd best player by a mile
    2. LLoris. Top top keeper, wasted at spurs :bandit: really an example of what a modern keeper should be
    3. Courtois. has been up and down with chelsea and seems to be either a confidence or needs to be happy type. Bit of a merc i think (but thats chelsea own fault)
    4. Cech? On the wane but is still the best organiser if no longer best shot stopper.
    5. forester? super shot stopper but a stuck on the line type. old school
    6. butland. would be higher but for injury. higlhy rated but needs to get back fit and play
    7. Heaton. One big reason burnley are still up.

    the average
    8. mingolet. He's actually decently solid if very slow to distribute. his handling is "ok" but he is very solid at shot stopping and holding the ball.
    9. bravo. why did city bother?
    10. stekleburg or whatever. Decent player but not first choice IMO
    11. Adrian. decent but a bit over rated IMO
    12. gomes. usless inconsistent lanky twat
    13. boruc. another guy who should be better. sometimes he's great.
    14. hennessy. decent but overrated.
    15. Pickford. vastly over rated cos his side is **** still....
    16. foster. same old same old
    17. Fabianksi. run out of arsenal and swansea picked him up. was decent for a while but seems to have no heart.
    18. guzan. yeah... hmmm... bit **** IMO
    19. myhill. meh

    20. marshall. back ache from picking ball out of his own net.

none of thiese guys are actually bad players are they really... I mean they get a lot of digs from not much reason but looking at it the elites are elites for playing at big clubs and being consistent. the players who play at big clubs and are no consistent are villified.

well given he moved from man city 8 years ago i didn't think he was very young TBH. I did think he was longer at leicester though.

Pickford can kick further than Mignolet. That's it
