We're not going to win it tbh, but I'm happy with the progress we're making.

Talking of stats.... Chelsea win %

August 100%
September 0%
October 100%
November 100%
December 100%

****ers <ok>

Seeing as they aren't going to win at Anfield in January its got to be 0% wins for them in January then <ok> [HASHTAG]#ideal[/HASHTAG]

Yes, but its hard to say, for example, whether our draw against Sunderland is 2 dropped or 1 gained until we look at the final table. On paper drawing away to a relegation threatened side isn't great but in the context of us having little to no rest time between the huge City game and the Sunderland one, the travelling up to Sunderland it actually wasn't all that bad, albeit disappointing that we ran out of steam in the end and conceded late on.
Any points you don't get are points dropped regardless of the end position, there are 3 points at stake for every game so if you get 1 you have dropped 2

So, 5 points is nothing to man u but 5 points is mission impossible for us.

Great logic Diego.<laugh>
I am taking the game in hand into account, I expect Chelsea to get at least a point therefore we have more chance aof pulling 5 back on you than you do of pulling 6 (probably 8) back on Chelsea. :emoticon-0100-smile

I don't think so to be honest, they aren't your points by right. You have to earn every single point, you don't start the season with 114 points and then lose points every game you don't win.

Nope, I believe what Trebs said was that we are in a better position to catch you than you are to catch Chelsea <ok>

You are at the moment. No Mane, Coutinho, Hendo and possibly Matip too [HASHTAG]#spine[/HASHTAG] Can throw Studge in there too if you like. We're in for a bad month imo

So if (theoretically) a team drew every game of the season you would look at it that they hadn't dropped any points but had actually won 38?

If it was a team fighting relegation and they finished outside then they'd say they won enough points to stay up. If they went down they didn't win enough points.

So you wouldn't say they had dropped any then? in that case you won a point against Sunderland not dropped 2. Happy to help solve your dilemma <ok> :emoticon-0100-smile

I heard a stat early about relegation points; 36pts+ in nine out of the last ten seasons has seen teams survive.

Who said 40pts was the magic number?

Last I heard he was talking about trying to finish above 4th

"The aim is to be champions, that’s the destination. This season the distance is a considerable distance. Even if you have a good run of results, you are always depending upon what the others are doing. We are going to try, we are still in the fight.”

<ok>
