I'm just hoping that Ehab sees what we need to stay up, an experienced manager and a few players. He's sacked Phelan at the right time, just as the window opens, and should have the replacement lined up together with some targets.

If he's seen that then he may also be thinking about improving his relationship with supporters.

He did, not sure where I read it but it was the same school as Gary Rowett apparently.

    How random is that?

I can't remember them there, although I wasn't always there
Anyway statistically if they all did one of them would probably be dead!

First sensible thing the Allams have done in years , and yet Twitter still in meltdown like we have just lost a genius .... Phelan will come out of this with a few quid , and back into the safety of a coaching role where he belongs

Here's my calculations from post 7819

"Our income is likely to be around £124 million

We owed £23.4 million to the bank or banks (I assume this was repaid when we received the first monies from the Premier League).

We owed £1.4 million in tax, most probably because it wasn't due to be paid at the year end. We also owed £13.9 million in accruals, presumably to be paid from this year's income.

Our wage bill according to OLM is around £60 million. Our rent is around £4 million and our administration expenses £5 million.

So out of an income of £124m we have to pay out £107.7 million, leaving £16.3 million to repay the debt to Allamhouse."

He's owed £70 million and the most he can repay is £16 million.

Dennis has earmarked you for the role of canteen supervisor at the training ground. A vitally important role Chazz. :emoticon-0162-coffe:emoticon-0162-coffe:emoticon-0166-cake::emoticon-0166-cake:

    Post of the day.
Surely I'll have my own ironerer? Sort of a prerequisite of my employment that one. And purple M&M's in the bowl on my desk (big desk).

This had to happen. Phelan comes over as a thoroughly nice bloke and recent performances seemed more promising, but he never was a Premier League manager.
I also have grave doubts about his coaching methods based on his entire period of employment at City.

Looking forward, most of the transfer window is still available and I hope the Allams not only have Rowett lined up but have also agreed to bring in the players he wants. That isn't just wishful thinking because in reality it's pretty much the last chance saloon if they have any hope of selling the club.
