All kicking off over here in Bromley, all shops closed and loads of police. Heading our way apparently but I work on the high street so I'm a bit stuck. They are sending some people home though.

    Wtf!

Why the f**k should a riot in London effect Southampton!

These are just teenage yobs who have nothing better to do with their summer holidays!

I personally thinks all this is BS about what's happening in Southampton.

BUT HAVING READ THIS I AM WARY AS LATER ON I HAVE TO WALK FROM SOUTHAMPTON CENTRAL STATION TO ST. MARYS!! ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED IN WHAT AREAS TO AVOID ETC...!

Well I'm travelling on my own and meeting family there. I'm 18 and do not wish to get caught in any unpleasantness that may occur! :/

Shouldn't be joking about this situation, it is is too serious for that, but if you see a hoody with his face masked just kick him as you go past unless he is wearing Saints kit in which case just try talking sense to them! Come on people of Southampton, let us make sure it doesn't happen here, parents take time to ask, what are your kids are doing in the evenings, don't let them ruin their own lives or those of others, there is no justification for it.

Why are you on here, Beddy? Should be in the front line. They'd soon disperse back to their mums.

Someone said: The only thing to fear is fear itself. Most people are decent and let's hope sense prevails.

Crazy sitaution that is not helped by the sad world of social networking. unfortunately there is not the time or money to prosecute the thugs who are promoting this let alone actually acting on this.....now I may get shot down.... I am not a racist however we all here about the political correctness in society nower days and how coloured members of the community moan about accusations regarding crimes and that they are targeted more on the new police "stop and search" policies however with the photographs of this weeks riots in London and Birmingham etc there certainly is not many photos of rioters and looters of white British origin is there?

I think it makes a lot more sense to follow police advice, than internet rumours.

Obviously anyone going to the game tonight should take care when they're out, but that goes for every day.

I can only imagine people are getting wound up over nothing here. There are no riots in town. Just a few bored school kids online stirring it up and the usual mindless few sat in the park talking a good game! There is a city workers strike tomorrow and they usually meet at Solent square to protest, they sure as heck won't riot though, they'll be the ones cleaning it up and doing the paperwork!
