It's approaching wine o'clock and we play Wolves tomorrow afternoon in a game that in all honesty I'm not holding out much hope of getting a result other than another loss......

But roll back 40+ years to a previous visit to Molineaux and one of my all time favourite videos. It's 1974 and we're still 2 seasons away from our greatest ever side but the makings of that team were there for all to see in this performance....some of the football was wonderful, pass and move, blistering pace, skill from backline to forward line.....for the younger generation on here, this is why us older posters fell in love with the R's and why we despair so much nowadays, not just at the R's but football in general......

Pour yourself a glass of something and enjoy......

What I liked about it was that Stan was on a hat trick when the penalty was awarded but he didn't even think about looking to take it, just gives Gerry a pat on the back as he walks forward to put the ball on the spot......

Indeed, but you couldn't say that he was apathetic by the way he celebrated Leach's excellent strike. God, I love that fella.

Horrible place, horrible people. Perfect team for a depressed ****er like Lambert.

Agree totally about the place. I ran a 'Tough Guy' race not far from Wolverhampton in January last year and we decided to visit the Town Centre on the Saturday night before for a pre race, carb loaded meal.
To say it was like a morgue was an understatement and as the half dozen restaurants we did find on a retail park had queues of 2 hours wait, we ended up eating in a crappy McDs......
As you might tell, I'm not a fan either

I had to go to Romford for the first time yesterday. Like being on a different planet.

Great stuff, thanks for posting Tramore ......................... really nice to have something to smile about of late.
Great to see Terry Mancini running around.
Was always a big Derek Dougan fan, so it was good to see him as well. He looked like he was getting near the end of his playing days.

This is now the match day thread. I can't be arsed to create a new one.

Well I'll be there to watch the horror as it unfolds and trust me that's way more than you want to know about the train ride into Wolverhampton.

Positives:

1) Breakfast at Wetherspoons then a couple of hours of fizzy pain-killers;

2) They've commissioned some graphic artist or other to do their programme covers this season and they're great. Remembrance Day aside it's usually a snarling, bristling wolf menacing opposition motifs and traditions. I can't wait to see what they come up with for us. They'll probably dispense with the wolf and just render a juicy lamb chop dripping with mint sauce;

3) I was at Telford v Alfreton on Boxing Day and it'll be warmer than that won't it?

4) I should be out of Wolverhampton and home by 6.

Our Ranger is likely no bounty hunter and as per usual firing only blanks.

Back-to-back home games over Christmas and New Year means two Alexander Wells programme covers. So here is the 12th of our 2016/17 series: Wolves v @officialqpr [HASHTAG]#WOLvQPR[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#12of23[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#WWFC[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#Wolves[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#EFL[/HASHTAG]
