I would have Matt Derbyshire but not as the main striker. I still want Nicky Maynard Nugent, Waghorn, Derbyshire, Maynard, Vassell I would let Howard go
He's an OK signing, but we need more than OK now. We still need another one, and not Anichebe, Keane or Jerome. Or a winger. We simply do not have enough pace or goals up front. As for 'spending over the odds', part of me admires the fact that our owners don't want to do that - but then again they've done it with Mills, why not with a striker? What's the point in having money and only bringing in frees up front? TBH I think we should be paying over the odds. I'm just begging that there's more to come and this isn't the 'big name' striker, that's all.
But surely, Derbyshire will be the biggest name striker we've got? Stick it on your shirt at 50p a letter, thats £5.50! Tell me a striker at our club with a bigger name? best i can come up with are Schlupp, Vassell and Waghorn, all worth £3.50. Stretching a point, even Gallagher is only £4.50. Sven promised us a big name striker, and he's delivered, end of.
Steve, you've inflated his value, at 50p a letter he's only worth £5, unless there are add ons of course!!!!
Yep, I cant count, and I'm so tight it was 50p a letter when I last had one done - in fact, it was 10 shillings when I had a name on a shirt - and that 10 bob INCLUDED the shirt!!
But he dont play for us? Youi've just gone for a striker with a long name, totally outside the spirit of this article.
Yeah, the add on was a massive ? after his name. Personally, I'd have DERBYSHIRE follwed by his number, and then either FFS! or WHY? below it!
Derbyshire on the back of a Leicester shirt doesnt seem right. Yeah i have nothing wrong with signing him but I wouldnt get his name printed on my shirt
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Ball-Matt-Derbyshire-Leicester.html?ITO=1490 According to this he has signed, but I wouldnt trust the mail after the holt story.
**** signing if it happens. And who just moaned at the prospect of signing Robbie Keane??? Are ****ing kidding me? He would score for fun in a league of static defenders!
Well, the Mail must be pretty sure if they're printing that - I'd have thought they'd be more careful with sweeping statements after the Holt debacle. He's not a bad player and I think he could do well in the Championship - lively up front and always looking to run in behind which is what we need up front but the only question I'd have - is he better than Nugent? For me, the answer is no.
On FoxesTalk, Gally's father in-law has said the deal isn't happening and that Liamlcfc guy has been told he's talking to Forest.
