Going to knock swimming in the sea on the head. Stinking cold from the other day. Stick to the pool I think.
Just did a 5k quicker than I've done in years. Given I've hardly trained in 2 months and have over indulged during the extended holidays, there's really no excuse for not caning it in January. All in the mind!
All are matters of fact. You playing the 'blame someone for playing the race card' card? Then again you are Skiddy, you have no shame.
I'm assuming you're road runnng? If so, The weather can play a big part in things. If it turns cold, be careful. Dragging large quantities of freezing air into your lungs does you no favours at all!..
Treadmill in the garage. I do occasionally road run but I have to manage the knee that ended my football career.
and the meltdown is complete^^^^ Prove any of that when you are ready darling...now get that mask back on.
Yeah I've noticed you've been edgy for a few days now. Probably didn't like me owning you the other day, don't do a bottler and run away rimmer have some backbone.
So I guess you don't use an app? Keen to get going once my folks go back home and am wondering which one would be recommended? Will be combining both, still go to the gym and use treadmill but want to get on the 'road', which is actually a coastal path.
I don't go in for all that app stuff. My missus bought me an iwatch last year. I've never worn it. Both she and Stan Jr have fitbits. They're fashion accessories. Just get on the treadmill and run! I tend to do shorter distances and aim to get faster. I haven't got the patience to do a 20k run. The road will definitely **** your knees eventually which is a shame as when you're fit road running is great. My left knee's been ****ed for years so I rarely venture out off the treadmill.
I hear running out on the road will **** your knees but thankfully got away with it so far and I've been doing it for about 6 years. I bought a very good rowing machine off a bloke on Shpock for £50 and would recommend it highly. That and running, along with a bit of free weights keeps me in shape.
Problem is, the body doesn't forget. When we're younger we play sports, run on tarmac, etc. when we get older the body comes back with a 'reminder' of the damage you did to it all those years ago. Just my opinion, but I believe long term running on concrete will eventually **** your knees and possibly ankles too.
