Am I the only one who is beginning to fear that Delia will, if we reach another ' Chase hostility frenzy' , get her money back by selling out the Club containing a prime City development site and an even more attractive development site at Colney to a bunch of asset strippers like SISU leading, like Coventry, to our inevitable demise. We are not an attractive investment proposition. Despite the loyal support you bang on about we have lost money most years and are budgeting a potential loss of £12m this year. We are not based in a location favoured by foreign investors and the only people interested in buying us would be somebody, like Delia, with an affection for the Club or asset strippers. Have you just thought for a moment that there isn't enough money in the Club to support this years loss and if you manage to force Delia out we might just go 'tits up' as there is no other money on the Board despite the efforts of Stephen Fry to find it? Have you even considered that our financial position is precarious and the Board were relying on a swift return to the Premiership to survive and therefore our slide out of contention is a bigger financial headache to the Board than the future of AN or the anger of the supporters. Sacking AN would make the financial situation even worse and would probably mean the sale of yet another player in Jan to try and balance the books and what would our advert for a replacement read? Wanted - A manager for a mid table Championship side in financial difficulties who will be selling their best players in Jan to balance the books. Must be prepared to work with existing backroom staff as we cannot afford to pay them off as well and must also be prepared to accept huge financial restraints and a disgruntled fan base. Sounds attractive doesn't it? If any of you know of a season ticket holder with £100m in his back pocket I am sure Delia would sell out - if not, be careful what you wish for!!

Thankyou for explaining that 1950, so we should accept the current status quo and watch the club sink once again into League 1 with a whimper?
This club IMO will go to the wall with the current board in place so we may as well 'twist' rather than 'stick'<ok>

That is the whole point! Who do you ' twist ' with? There is nobody, as far as I am aware, to step in and replace them but Delia could, if she is forced, sell to the first Tom Dick or Harry who offered her the money. And who would that person be? A loyal fan who wants the best for the Club or somebody clocking up pound signs? You seem to think that sacking the Manager and his staff followed by the resignation of the Board would solve our current problems - how would that work when we are facing a major financial problem?

    Sorry, but this is tommy-rot.
If they were banking on a 'swift return' why would they still entrust the reins to a guy who has lost 8 out of his last 10 games? Time for Moxey to show some McNally touches - but no, the silence and inaction is deafening :(
Plus, in the Henry Winter article, she and her husband actually said they steadfastly refuse to even listen to offers for investment in the club. Is that not categorical enough for you?

You're wasting your breath midway, as my mum would say, there are none so blind as them who will not see!

Why is this tommy-rot? Have you looked at the accounts? We nearly went bust when we dropped into Div1 but Lambert and McNally saved us. How many years since then have we made a profit? Last year we made a profit of £5m - this year we are budgeting a loss of £12m and that does not allow for sacking and replacing a Manager and backroom staff. How were they to know that after taking us to the top of the league the team would then lose 8 out of 10? They entrusted the reins to a guy who had, against the odds, got us promoted and then nearly kept us up. Most people expected us to be up there for a quick return and the Board had no reason to doubt that. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!! I agree that something has now gone seriously wrong although nobody seems to know why. I agree that the time has come for AN to go despite how I have tried to defend him in the past but it is easier to sack a Manager that it is to find a decent replacement especially when financial problems are obvious. The same is even more obvious with the Board - if they walk, as some people want, who replaces them? The last 10 games have changed a lot both on and off the field and you ignore that at your peril. As I keep saying, Delia could get her money back at any time by selling out but who would want to buy apart from somebody looking for a quick return on the investment?

So how come perennial championship dwellers like Florist have foreign owners?
Clearly not to make a quick buck by a swift return to the riches of the Premier League?
And Fulham, Cardiff, Birmingham, Wolves, etc. 11 of the 24 in our division, in fact.
How do you explain that, given that only three can achieve promotion each year?

Capital of Wales, London, England's second biggest City - does that answer your question? Anyway - has this foreign ownership brought them success?

No keeping him will make the financial situation worse. We're not in financial difficulties and if the board had acted months ago when it was very clear AN was not up to the job we may have been a promotion challenging team with a potential return to the PL and all the money that comes with it. Even an unsuccessful promotion challenge would have brought in the £'s. If AN takes us into league 1, which isn't impossible, what then the financial cost of keeping him.

You will see from other posts that I agree that he has got to go and really should have gone a couple of weeks ago - all I was trying to do was look for a reason why this hadn't happened. Not in financial difficulties? Look at the books my friend!!

Well we've dropped into the championship and Moxey & Neil might doom us.

Took us to the top of the league, having been lucky with how the fixtures fell, as soon as we started playing half decent teams we feel apart. Whats's all this hindsight nonsense it was very clear well before our recent run that AN wasn't up to the job, none of our players have played anywhere near their full potential all season, we've spent plenty of money on some decent players with good potential (Pritchard, Canos, Maddison, Klose etc) only for AN to mismanage them, although in that respect at least he's consistent in the he seems to mismanage all the players and the team in general. With this squad we should be challenging for promotion we're not because of AN. He needs to go if we're to move forward and give ourselves a chance of promotion next season and I don't mean from league 1 to the championship.

Well Delia has clearly stated that she doesn't listen to potential investors. As far as I'm aware in order to not listen to someone they have to exist.

Well I might be wrong, but how many clubs are debt free in the championship ? We can't be that badly off we keep buying players for decent money and then not using them.

Bad buys by the last 3 Managers have cost us dear and the main reason for financial difficulties. Anyway - French Sports Channel says he has resigned and links us again with Thierry Henry
