Not bitter so please wind your neck in , he was with us for 10 years as opposed to half a season with you so I guess we're in a better position to judge the mans' character . Dropped by Laudrup , runs back to the Chairman , dropped by Sousa ran back to the Chairman and publicly stated in his autobiography that he was glad we missed out on PL promotion because Sousa didn't deserve it ,You believe what you want we know better .
Just goes to show its a funny old game I find possession style football boring and prefer defensive counter attacking The best style of football is the one that gets results. I'd rather we kicked **** out of the opposition, time wasted and were cynical in the extreme if it resulted in promotion than tippy tappy our way to mid table obscurity, but then again we are Dirty Leeds after all
Good morning to your good self . Considering Clolet was brought to our Club as head of the youth development he's done well for himself , his track record prior to us wasn't fantastic so he may have found his level as with Monk ( not meaning to sound derogatory ) in the sense that they both have put their own stamp on your club whereas with us they were caught between our old style and Monk trying to develop a different way for us to progress .I can't say I know much about Jansson is he the senior experienced of the two centre halfs ? if so then perhaps Kyle is being mentored by him if not then it proves that there is a good player in Bartley which we knew but he failed to shine on too many occasions with us .
Possession based football is what got us to the PL whereas your preferred style ? you've gone way from that and are now seeing the benefits
Leeds fans panicking on Twitter?..... Do't worry regarding Monk, Huw Jenkins will not be interested in him at this moment in time, and I'd say most Swansea supporters would not be interested in his return either. Pleased for him and you that he is doing so well at the minute, hope he gets you promoted, Good that Bartley has found his level and is also doing well, he is too much of a liability for the PL, which you will find out if you get promoted. We need a manager now that can identify our defensive issues and get us back to keeping the ball, our situation has not been helped by the disasterous appointment of Bob Bradley, most Jacks saw this as an unbalievable appontement, and new it was doomed from the start, we just hope that the idiots in the boardroom get it right this time, all the best for the rest of the season......
I guess the team plays a style of football to suit the players available I hate it when Leeds ponce about stringing 20 or so passes along the back 4, it's not not getting anywhere and liable to result in an opposition attack sooner or later, but then again I'm not paid £1M a year to coach them and Monk seems to be getting results so no complaints from me
Allegedly backed the board in kicking Nathan Dyer out of the club last season because allegedly Martin Morgan (majority shareholder at the time) was allegedly having it off with Dyers wife - Morgans wife since then has divorced him. Monk lost the dressing room and was taking us down as a result. Personally had this not happened we'd have been fine. He gave us our best season results wise and doubles over Utd and Arsenal. He also didn't want us to get promoted to the PL under Sousa because he felt Sousa didn't deserve to get promoted. As for Bartley, he's always had the physical attributes - glad he's doing well, we'll need him back next season How's Grimes doing?
Billy no need for rudeness Elland invited the Swans fans over to give an opinion, I knew they wouldn't want him back and it's not just the not606 Swans fans, I don't believe it is bitterness or tripe from them in the slightest. When we first signed Monk I discovered a dedicated Swans forum, can't remember the name of it but oodles of fans. They were all moaning about Monk sucking up to the Chairman and the back stabbing. When he joined us he wasn't the finished article as a coach and still isn't, he is learning his way with us and hopefully getting better as he goes along. Glad we have him now but things can change too quickly in football so feet are firmly grounded...
TBF Elland can sometimes stir the **** and we all know what happened to the Boy who cried Wolf or in this case Swan
Just had a look over on the Swans 606 page reading the thread where Elland invited them over and a very interesting point... They might not welcome Bartley back to the PL now but if they did get relegated Bartley has proved what he can do at this level, a whole seasons experience chasing for promotion, they might well want him back.
@BillysStatue Remember the Rams last venture into the PL lads? One season car crash wasn't it? They tell me their a 'BIG' club also? Now we deserve some respect for being in our 6th season, with mostly finishing mid to top half, not bad for little old Swansea, no sour grapes from us regarding Monk, just telling it as it is, Monk was always our 'Chairmans poodle'........
