Yes, I just saw that and have to agree. Pretty much what I said on the MDT.

Fresh ideas, input and finance is what this sad outfit needs desperately.
It's ploughing a lonely, losing, myopic furrow without any :(

Spot on comment from the article in tonight's pink'un <ok>

"A competent Board would have sacked him last Christmas by when it should have been apparent that he was lacking the ability and experience to keep the Club in the Premier League. Myself and others here were saying that at the time. He was not necessarily totally at fault because of the negligent inactivity in the Transfer market during the preseason which was more likely the fault of the Board, but he should have gone then. The main problem lies with the composition of the Board which includes the Owners who, with due respect, have not shown the judgement and acumen necessary to run a multi million pound Business. Their ages are against them. They stubbornly refuse to accept NCFC cannot progress by running against the tide of modern professional football. Until the Business is sold to buyers with ambition and with the wherewithal to invest nothing much will change unless we get lucky again."

Does anyone know of anyone, or anyone on here, who still backs and believes in Alex Neil??

I don't know, and haven't seen, anyone who still believes in him for a good few months now.

Surely the only reason the board hasn't sacked him, is financial and the work involved again in finding a new man? I can't see a single other reason they would let this continue as it has the past few months.

In business, someone with this track record would have been shown the door with a compromise package some weeks ago - it is a shocking dereliction of duty by the Board to let this continue.

Speaking for myself, even I don´t think he can get us out of this mess now, but there are so many other reasons why we are in this state, players, board, recruitment team and policies, coaches, that I just don´t see any new manager having the wished for effect, Neil is only just a fraction of the problem.

The owners have every right to sell, or not to sell, to whoever they wish. They also have a right to run the business as they see fit. Incompetent they may be in many people´s eyes, but while bums keep sitting firmly on seats in the stadium, there is no incentive for them to change their plan of approach. As people are not slow to point out, it´s a business these days, not a sport anymore, and while it keeps making money, why change anything?

Even with a full stadium and thousands buying over priced replica shirts we won't turn a profit in the Championship with the wage bill we have now.
It will take something amazing to finish top 6 this season and a new manager and long overdue succesful January transfer window is the only way we have a chance.
3 wins since October is relegation form.

I guess our first target is to get enough points to stay up. 1st to 12th in 3 months is pitiful.

I used to look forward to meeting up with a few people before each home game and even if we didn't win, I felt we played well. That hasn't been the case since nearly a year ago now. Even though my ST costs me less than £400 and I have no transport/parking costs, I think the time has come to not renew next year.

I still enjoy watching MotD, but no longer care what our results are and obviously the board feels the same way, otherwise they would have acted to replace AN before the end of last season.

I thought Loserpool were going to be the team to watch, but Chelsea seem almost unstoppable and 12 games unbeaten is some record and are going to be difficult to catch, as they seem to have such strength in depth and they are just in such scintillating form -

They have kept a clean sheet in 8 of their last 10 games and have played both the red and blue sides of Manchester!!! <yikes>

    It's not just 12 games unbeaten JM, it's 12 straight wins! <ok>
