I wonder if the FA would have taken the same view had it been a player from the 'top four' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38385231 I asked several other football fans the question yesterday and NOT one of them think it was a red card offence. So looks like Hogan could be on his way to Villa - https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...-brom-from-aston-villa-in-7m-deal-in-january/
Ridiculous decision. He was obviously pushed, and had no control afterwards. The fact these idiots can't see this is troubling.
Hence my post earlier. As someone said to me yesterday - the only consistent thing about refereeing is their inconsistency!!! IMO, they feel they're more important than the players and they're ruining the game.
In which case, the longer we remain 'under the radar' in the lower leagues, he better. At least we avoid the scrutiny of the worst refs
There are some big egos in their ranks. It's a tough job, though, and they need more help. The instant replay should help, but it didn't change their minds about the Vardy red card.
Agreed. That Eddie Ilderton was also a twat for his antics when we played Tranmere at Prenton Park I tend not to forget, either http://www.soccerbase.com/referees/referee.sd?referee_id=646&season_id=139
That was the worst case of 'miscarriage of justice' that I've seen and as I said in my original post on the topic, I wonder what decision the FA would have reached had it been a player from one of the 'top 4' clubs?? The 'instant replay' got mixed reaction at the club world cup final - http://www.skysports.com/football/n...referee-in-club-world-cup-semi-final-in-japan I saw another report that it was well recieved.
I was actually replying to your post earlier, JM Fan. I probably should have used the "reply" button. It was a terrible call by a board which had several days to review the replay. Leicester must be furious. The only criticism I've seen is that it's taking too long for a final decision.
Hard to believe this was only four years ago! With our club's fluctuating fortunes since then, it feels more like forty!! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tlement-reached-Norwich-City-Aston-Villa.html
Ten great goals from this year's Euros, anyone? I was a bit miffed that neither Wessi nor Brady featured, but looking at this lot, they were up against it, competition wise. Enjoy
Can this REALLY be true - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/wayne-rooney-offered-700000-week-9509203??? #uttermadness
