Apparently they have a lousy defensive record and see him as the sort of player to improve that. What a shame Alex 'pig-headed' Neil doesn't, because ours is nothing to write home about!! http://readbundesliga.com/2016/12/21/hamburger-sv-eye-timm-klose/
What is the deal with Klose? Many thought his injury last term contributed heavily to our relegation. Now he can't even make the squad?
There was some 'goss' though vigorously denied by AN, that his next outing would cost us an extra million euros, based on number of appearances. But why would you spend circa £9m on a defender with champions league experience and still pick Bassong repeatedly http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/timm-klose/profil/spieler/65255
My suspicious mind tells me that the reason Klose has not been playing is because Norwich would want to recoup most, if not all of their £9m outlay and do not want damaged goods through injury. He is bound to go if the money is right.
I fear you are right CS, I've supported AN up until quite recently but I've been dismayed by the absence Of Klose!
I'm with you on that, Dave. I must have been one of the last holdouts but now all hope is gone regarding Alex Neil. It will be a pity is we lose TK and keep AN.
I think he's a decent manager and wouldn't strongly object. He has one thing that we don't usually go for and that's experience. I'd take Baldrick right now though, anyone but Neil! Bah!
It's all kicking off: Lawrence from Ipswich!, Fofana from Armien, (both mid field) Maddison stays at Aberdeen and WBA in for Klose at £7.5m. Can't see the latter going through at a loss. IF we are looking at mid field do we assume some of our present mid field are likely to go? The rumour mill is likely to get busy in the next 4/5 weeks. Pardew to CR?
Well CS010 - I'm not convinced we need yet MORE midfielders, even if Brady were to leave. I'm fairly sure we'll see Maddison staying at Aberdeen and as AN is reluctant to play Klose, I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave, even at a slight loss - though IMO, I'd be far happier to see Naismith leaving us instead.
Pardew sacked after a run of one win in 11 games - do we know anyone with a very similar record ?????
He spent circa £13m on Townsend and over £30m on Benteke and his ex team are languishing one (1) opoint outside the drop zone. No thank you very much!! edit, According to this, He spent a total of £51.5m last summer (number 9 on the list) http://talksport.com/football/trans...mier-league-club-ranked-least-most-money?p=11
Bloody typical Looks like Maddison will be staying. If he came back we could offload both Naismith and Brady and reinforce our still horrendous (Kloseless ) defence which has leaked 34 goals in 22 games http://www.scotzine.com/2016/12/aberdeen-gets-maddison-loan-boost/
Why on earth would we do something as enterprising as bring back Maddison, who appears to be pulling up trees in Aberdeen, so that we can offload some deadwood (see what I did there) like Naismith and Brady ?
