With all the trouble in london is the match on saturday likely to be called off? although i know there is a match being played at Watford on wednesday?
Hang on a minute pal. First off the Watford match on Wednesday is in Bristol - Saturday's game is a long way away and its status will be decided on Friday. I believe there will be no games within the Met Police boundary in the next day or two, if Watford were playing tonight (Tuesday) I doubt if it would happen.
Having said that, there was trouble in Bristol last night, I wonder if that put's Wednesdays game in doubt, I suppose that depends on what happens tonight.
The rioting hasn't spread to our corner of London, correct? Harrow is fine I think......you can imagine how Watford high street might attract some looters but I'm assuming there's not been trouble.
rams for life as far as I know at present Watford v Derby is still on , Although I would keep checking both clubs official sites nearer to the time
Water canon with indelible ink. Then the trouble makers can be identified easily later. Why do these people feel to smash and burn things or steal, that is not a justified reaction to anything.
That is a brilliant idea Ak... maybe something in bright colours to show them easily to others!! These people should lose all their 'human' rights the minute they attack others or other's homes/livelihoods! There is no excuse for this, as much as they will try and blame the police or government!
The international match between Ghana and Nigeria at the Vic tonight is still on according to the official website. Rams, it looks like you're making the same error as even the London based media make in stating the we are part of London.
Be a shame to travel from Africa to watford for a footy match for it to be called off because of a mindless few!
I may not quite understand the idea of human rights, but what about the human responsibilities and human duties that come with the human rights. And can I have a human right to live a peaceful life, we will not have riots in Kaupvangstræti or Hafnarstræti or by hæli.
Agreed Ak and when political correctness finally gets relgated to a tertiary role rather than a primary one ,things will improve as laws toughen up against criminals! If you engage in these kind of acts then in my book your "human rights" are forfeit!
'Human Rights' is just a phrase for people to try and get out of what criminal acticity they have done! They take and they take, but when it comes to being held responsible for their actions, they hide behind this term 'Human Rights', believing what they are doing has justification!
No Harrow has had rioting and so has Ealing, Which is where i live. The Bristol Rovers match is still on though Bristol City's is called off.
They might follow what Middlesex have done and move the games so that they are earlier - don't be surprised if Saturday's game is at 2 or earlier.
Nigeria Ghana called off due to the rumours that there will be riots in the Harlequin and surrounding areas tonight.
