Newcastle have been told if they want Pav it will cost them 14 mil.they'll have more chance of getting blood out of astone, than money out of ashley's wallet fancy being lumped with that guy as your chairman.
Roman Pavlyuchenko had a pretty good season for Spurs during 2010-11...

... £14 million, by today's prices, is something of a bargain.

True PNP, but also true is Harry's liking and the need in the PL to press teams. I call these types of player, luxury players, the epitome being Ronaldo (not the fat one!). A team can cope with one, the other 9 outfielders being prepared to do the extra donkey work, but if you have 2 or more unwilling or hopeless at it...or both! it makes it extremely difficult. Thats why I felt with Pav, Niko and Hudd on in the first half it was partly why we were penned in abit, just couldn't get the ball!![]()
Try Cody McDonald ( surplace at Norwich ) Gillingham had him on a season long loan last year- 25 goals & massive work rate. Gills can't afford him- As Spurs are my '2nd' team I would love for him to be at the Lane. UTG & COYSGiven the ridiculous sums being asked for strikers these days, I suppose £14mm is not outrageously overpriced. I am not a massive Pav fan - he seems to have the first touch of a JCB most of the time; and as for his workrate....
However, there seems little point in selling him unless we have a ready replacement.
