Ah yeah, forgot about the volley form corner <ok>
Think 90% of keepers save that one to be fair though, wasn't in the corner.
Hmm, dunno you know. Think it might have been a better save than you're making out. When I saw it live it fairly fizzed in from what, 10-12 yards maybe? Even if it wasn't in the corner keeper didn't have much time to see it.

<laugh> I've seen it repeated several times now, the [HASHTAG]#bitters[/HASHTAG] genuinely think they were just unlucky <doh>

If you fill your squad with dinosaurs it's not luck our younger, fitter, and more organised team takes you apart towards the end of the game

Don't worry the ink is dry on Barry and Baines' new contracts [HASHTAG]#goingnowhere[/HASHTAG]

So you watched a **** game like that several times lol That says allot...

I suppose both hands are blistered badly now eh?<laugh>

diego your patently obvious wum efforts are so so poor. you really ought to try get some decent material mate.

Not so poor that he engaged a dozen of us over 6 pages :bandit: would hate to see his good ones. <whistle>

But seriously it was a red card. Dangerous and could have broken the player's ankle.

After the first half the toffees ran out of steam. Their attack became powder puff and they were hanging on for a point.

Great result but one which we needed. 1 point would have put us 8 points behind and realistically out of contention.

Now we should all be able to enjoy a nice Xmas before the battle resumes :)

Barkleys tackle was a yellow in my book (borderline red). Could have caused a lot of damage if hendos foot was planted and barkley was real late. However strikers get away with a yellow all the time on defenders and a yellows always given.

Coleman did a pretty similar late tackle on costa in our game against the bluenoses

Barkley should have gone though. Got away with so many fouls

Jurgen Klopp believes the man-of-the-match derby performance from Ragnar Klavan underlines the strength of Liverpool's squad.
The Reds kept their second successive clean sheet inside a week to allow Sadio Mane to snatch an injury-time winner against Everton at Goodison.

Liverpool's fifth shut-out in seven games was all the more impressive given the recent shuffle in defence.
Mignolet has replaced Loris Karius, while Klavan performed superbly in place of the injured Joel Matip.

And Klopp said: “It's very important but I'm not surprised. If a player doesn't play from the beginning, it does not mean he's a bad player. It only means I have decided for another one.
“They need to be ready for the moment and they were obviously ready.
“It's good how it is, it's 1-0 and not more, we have to be ready for Stoke in a few days, Man City and all this stuff. But for tonight, it's all good.
“We gave no real chances away with (Romelu) Lukaku up front, we did really well even when they played long balls, how we defended these long balls, stayed cool in difficult situations with foul and not foul, these things.

“Staying cool when you are emotionally involved is a real challenge for all of us. The players did well, all good.”
Klopp also said he enjoyed this derby win more than his first – a 4-0 win at Anfield in April – because none of his side suffered injuries, making reference to Origi being forced off with an ankle injury in last season's game.
“I don't want to compare, I love both,” he said. “Of course the first derby at Anfield was different but I would actually prefer tonight because nobody is injured.
“Better 1-0 with all players fit than 4-0 and one player out (Origi) for too long.”

Meh.

Knackered after not much sleep, and gutted after losing like that. An injury time defeat is never a nice experience, but in a derby it's a heartbreaker.

First half we went at you like we all hoped we would, never gave you a second on the ball, chased, harried and were the better side for most of that half as a result.
We bypassed your high press and your side had the same look Arsenal had last week when faced with that level of workrate and commitment.

McCarthy going off was the turning point, he'd been having his best game for about 2 ****ing years, and then got crocked <doh> Barry simply can't do what McCarthy was doing, therefore we lost the bite in centre mid, you started to get time on the ball, and Barry lead the side deeper, which played into your hands.

That said you created next to **** all, and barring one fantastic save from Robles (which I was right behind) we didn't look unduly troubled imo. The winner was somewhat fortuitous as it was a scuffed effort from Sturridge, that came back off the post at the perfect angle for Mane.

As for the Barkley challenge, at the game it looked fairly innocuous, so I was quite surprised hearing it called a horror challenge when I got back in the car. Still not seen it so I'm calling the Wenger on that one for now.

@Tobes will be able to comment better, but to me, given what I have seen of he lad lately, he's regressed over the last 18 months, early Ross with the right guidance could have been a top player by now, who knows, still could be, he's far to young to be written off!

Winks look a nice tidy player and he's not going to get in ahead of Alli or Erikson, Son puts in a shift for you guys too!

Barkley has bags of talent, but I've never been convinced about his footballing brain. His decision making hasn't improved and he's still wasteful on the ball at times.

My biggest gripe with him for the last 2 years, has been his lack of workrate, as he seemed to think that getting the ball back was someone else's job <doh>
That's in part due to that beaut Martinez blowing smoke up his arse for years. He's not the creative No.10 we need, and his lack of workrate means he's not currently a No.8 either.

I thought he would become a really top class player but he's getting left behind at the moment.

Barkley is a very good player, I am not sure he can fulfil his potential at Everton(don't get me wrong Everton is a good club) I think he is looking for a move.

Always think he's been overrated. He had a good season a few seasons back because he surprised people by being direct. Players/managers have cottoned onto this and if you just stand him up, he will either loses it trying to do a stevey G when he's not that good or it gives the defence time to re-organise why's he's dilly dallying instead of playing it quickly. Plus as Tobes has mentioned, he's too big for his ego and doesn't believe he has to work hard anymore (minus last nights game) and basically doesn't help the team win the ball back.

I think being a local lad brings it's own burden at Goodison.

A move might help him develop away from the pressure cooker that he faces with us tbh.

I can see him moving on next summer if the right bid lands.
