That game is very often terrible and is in no way how we have played all season. I'm not saying we are a title winning side but we're certainly giving it a go and with Matip and Coutinho to come back then we have a shot if we can stay close to The Chavs. @Bodinki

ACON ... no Mane no Mano ... huge loss ... don't think the Brazilian rent boy or glass limbs Studge give you anything like the same threat ... do you still have Andy Carroll? <whistle>

MITO got the arse yesterday because I called Liverpool "The Dippers", which isn't really an offensive nickname to be honest.
He knows he (presumably) doesn't dip into bins for his dinner so not sure why he took it like that.
Especially when, on ALL board, when people refer to Chelsea, its "Chavs" this and "Chavs" that.
Not sure why that would be any less offensive. Not that I mind, we all have pet nicknames for each other, just surprised how thin skinned he was.
Some of the Dippers really hate the word Dippers. It makes them come out with stuff like "that Manure scum calls us Dippers".

I know why. They associate it with Hillsborough. like pretty much everything.

It's not though, it's just short for bin dipper!!

But yeah, Manure scum is fine, no probs.

If it were to do with pick pocketing unconscious fans at Hillsborough then it would indeed be offensive, just to clarify.

It isn't though.

I think I've found a compromise that will be acceptable to everybody ... we just use the image below instead of the word 'dipper'.... I can see a separate issue, however, because they are very likely to take the manufacturer's name as an additional slur ... you know how sensitive the poor Luvs (pun intended) can get ....<whistle>

Dipper is short for bin dipper though, as in people who dip in to bins. (ie tramps)
The **** does that have to do with Hillsborough?
The H word never even entered my head for a second.

They were lobbing missiles into the Bullens and Park end yesterday.

Best fans in der Wuurrrlllld though

My intent wasn't to start a "gang up on Liverpool fans" movement.
All our fanbases have bell ends.
Ours are well documented.
Besides, United have KKKustard and Zlatan ffs :p

Liverpool fans (some) do actually relate it to Hillsborough, Chief is right.

I don't. I think it's people trying to be funny suggesting we eat out of bins, or other such nonsense! Either way it's a pretty **** insult tbf.

Zlatan isn't a United fan. I'm not sure he's a football fan. He certainly doesn't seem to post about football. I think he just looks for forums to preach his white supremacist politics of hate. He's found a kindred spirit in Kustard.

Serious question (for once) ... I'm old enough to remember the days of the Merseyside derbies where Evertonians were stood on the kop in their colours with no hint of animosity from either set of fans ...

Do you think that the latest idiot brigade is made up more of the glory boys from the home counties etc than genuine scouse Liverpool fans?

Certainly the phone ins over many years now have been packed with irate 'pool fans (thinking of the Houlier,Benitez and Brenda eras particularly) threatening to rip up their season tickets etc in the broadest Devon, Herefordshire (and almost everywhere BUT scouse) accents, when things have been going bad, particularly whilst United were so dominant ...

Undoubtedly.

In the fan zone and pub before the game, the kopites were largely not scouse. Half and half scarves denoted a kopite tourist and there were loads of southern reds there. Which given the only had about 2,500 tickets and you'd have needed to be at virtually every away game to get one, tells you all you need to know about their core support these days.

All of them are really when you think about it.
Spurs = Spuds, not related at all, just changed one letter.
Manure = Again, makes no sense, just changed a letter or two and it sounds funny.
Chav = Totally lost on this one, Chavs, the word, originated from Chatham in Kent and then spread to East London. CFC is in Fulham <doh>. the Sun came up with that nickname as well, and its larger companion, Chavski, like a melding of Chav and The Ski suffix. Ski is Polish for a start, not Russian. So a Chavski would be a Polish guy from Kent <laugh>
