So you got them drunk and stole most of their clothes?

Yup! ... but only metaphorically <laugh>.... although one of my mates did get so pissed one night that he took his shoes and socks off and ran off up the street in a thunder storm splashing through puddles ... great days

That's what I'm thinking, if I can cook with it as well, I might get through one.

You'll get through it. I couldn't walk past it with out slicing a bit off.

Best snack ever. If your sat up watching **** tv couple of beers of glass of wine and some freshly sliced Serrano.

He sounds mad.

Italian ... same difference ...

In fairness his old man used to brew his own red wine in his garden shed and went absolutely bonkers during the 1982 World Cup final ... we watched it roud at theirs and the celebrations involved drinking just about all of the old boys stock ... one of the worst hangovers I'd ever had but a wonderful occasion <ik>

.... they have a great street food market down at Borough market in Southwark ... there's one stall there where they always have a sample leg which the guy gives out pieces from ... remarkably good ... there's also a very nice restaurant not far away from there that specialises in Iberico pork and ham dishes ... had the pork last time I was there ... they serve it very pink which some people don't really go for (with pork) but I thought it was great ...

Most of the red wine we have over Christmas will be the stuff we bought in Carrefour or on the ferry en route back from the summer hols so it's just ok Rioja and Merlot, very drinkable though.

Just had a sizable gift from our main subbie on this contract though so will be buying half a dozen Barolo which my father and her parents will get no ****ing where near. That's mine, and her's if she's having a red.

I'm not that arsed with white but she and her mum and my mum drink it so will likely be Lidl or Aldi Sav Blanc, as will the Prosecco.

A couple of bottles of Veuve Cliquot will be secreted away by my good self for me and her come Christmas Eve and NYE, probably only me will touch it though as she'll doubtless fall asleep.

I'll then have a pounder of a head the following day. No lego this year though, thank ****, and I built my daughters massive dolls house last night. This is now secreted away in the camper till Christmas Eve. No hectic building of any sort Christmas day!

There's a lot of secreting going on in the Chief household.

As we're still on the wine, I bought the usual St Emillion and Neuf Du Pap. Have to say though that they were a bit disappointing last year, I know I should look at what kind of year was good 2014 for the St Emillion and 2015 for the Pap but couldn't be arsed so fingers crossed.

Christmas booze sorted. Kiwi SB for the girls and a French chardonnay for the boys to have with the turkey. Bordeaux to wash down the cheese. Gewurztraminer if we fancy something a bit different, probably early evening when the shakes are kicking in.

Did this happen one time at band camp?
