Hmm - am confused by the 'who' and 'lord of'...

Anything to do with the Celtic festival marking the end of harvest season and the start of winter?

It's very much to do with the Pagan festival, if you know the subject of the festival then the "who" is rather obvious! <ok>

Just to let you know, Samhain is not pronounced anything like Sam Hayne! ;)

The lord of the dead, or darkness. Or left handed heavy metal guitarists.

Cheers Dave. We all know about the z cars theme at Watford, and that St. Pauli come out on the pitch to ACDC. But which club always comes out for the second half to the music of Bob Marley - with most of the crowd singing along ?

I'm not sure where you got that information from - Samhain was no more a Lord than the other seasonal festivals, Beltane, Imbolg and Lughnasadh. They are all calendar dates! Samhain (pronounced Sa-win in Scotland) is the Celtic day, sunset 31st October to sunset 1st November, and marks the end of harvest and the start of winter.

The festival is named after the Lord, that's why it is called the festival of the dead or festival of the dark side!
