Exactly. And neither of the players tackled by Vardy or Rojo were injured. Or even touched. <ok>

The ref has punished Vardy for a type of tackle that has far more likelihood of
causing bad injury if it goes wrong. So the players are being informed :

Don't attempt that type of tackle in the first place (act in haste, repent at leisure) .

No, it's like being arrested for dangerous driving and protesting that you didn't kill anyone.
You can complain about the rules of the game, but they're still the rules.
Even if you don't think that Vardy should've been sent off, it's obvious why he was.

So that's what he'll be dining out on for the next three seasons then...

Poor from Bournemouth but Southampton defended very well. Hopefully they eat too much turkey and are **** when we play them.

    City's defence is so ****!..

Goons virtually walk it in 1-0...

Glorious ball by De Bruyne, but the defence is so slow to get back and deal with the move.

Gary Neville's not impressed with Ozil's effort:

I think I moved further than that while I was watching our game, to be honest.

Two capitulations in 5 days by Arsenal having gone 1-0 up. When the opposition puts a shift in, are quicker to the ball and put them under pressure, their suspect defence wilts again.

Perhaps they should be looking to sign The Post from West Ham in the January transfer window?

Wenger hubris will not allow him to sign a "player" with that much (vertical) "spine" .

Well, he did sign the BFG, who is slightly less mobile.

I'm not sure it's down to the defence. Some of their players just don't seem to want to put a shift in.
You can get away with that against some teams, when you've got very good attacking players and most of the ball.
When the other side's on a similar level to you and they graft, then it generally ends badly for you.

You have encapsulated their seasons perfectly. Not the mindset of champions.
If only Wenger could deceive himself and his squad that every PL game is the last
of the season and if they don't win his precious PL 4th place Cup is gone.

I believe Wenker blamed the ref for poor decisions in both games. It's the refs fault!

    Spot on mate.
This has been Arsenal's problem for years.
Against teams of lower quality or bad organisation they flourish (such as when we played them with our unorganised back four).
Against an organised team of similar quality their laziness is exposed and they foldj like a deck of cards.
For all Wengers talk of mental strength and belief its the one thing his squad has lacked since the days of the invincibles
