City vs Arsenal, is a draw better than a win from either two of them for us? I would take an Arsenal win.

We really need a couple of teams to start dropping points so I'd prefer a draw. I'd quite like Arsenal to drop points tomorrow because their run of games aren't too bad after that so keep the pressure on. City to drop points tomorrow as well, then they have a run of tricky games including Liverpool, West Ham away, Everton away, Spurs.

Imagine draws for Arsenal vs City, Liverpool vs Everton, City vs Liverpool, then City vs Spurs. The fixtures for our rivals are good for us. We just need to make sure we pick up the points to take advantage of those dropping points above us to close the gap.

I would normally say Arsenal and Liverpool losses would be our best chance of getting top 4 because they are the most likely to collapse, at the moment though I would think City are looking very likely to lose more ground than either of those two so Arsenal win is better for us.

Rationally draws in all matches between the top 5 would benefit United most. Because a draw means only 2 points are distributed whereas any other result, one will get 3 points.

Aye, ideal opportunity for a few teams to drop points so we have more chance of getting back in the mix. If we get back into the top 4 we'll set the cat amongst the pigeons

I don't think anyone with any football knowledge can argue that this team could/should be amongst the best 4 in the premiership. Despite all the criticism in the press in the last couple of weeks by so called pundits. :)

IF we get within 3 points of top 4 by week 19 (half way point) then we could be serious challengers for a CL place.

Danny Murphy is a prize ****. Ref doesn't give Rojo a red card for 2 footed challenge a few days ago, he calls it wrong decision (rightly so). Today same ref gives red card to Vardy for 2 footed challenge, Murphy calls it a good challenge. As I said, prize **** <ok>

Those are tough run of games for the rivals. Looking at Mourinho today before the match, his body language looked much better and it feels like he is getting better mentally. He had a look of his old self. If we get more wins under our belt into the new year, then I can see fit Jose taking us on a run.
I went for an Arsenal win because I have a feeling that they are likeliest to crumble later in the season out of the Top 4. Give them this win, damage City and watch Arsenal crumble eventually. I'm not sure if I would put them at more risk than Liverpool. I wouldn't want anyone to give City the initiative as they are less likely to lose momentum, at least in my eyes.

But overall, I think a draw is best for us. Get back in the mix and put all these wannabes under real pressure.

City well on top now... which probably means Arsenal will win. Anyway, lets just stay quiet until the final whistle :bandit:

I wouldn't worry about it, 3 behind Spurs and 4 behind Arsenal and it's not even January. It's **** all.

The second half was just one of the strangest I've seen. What happened to these Arsenal players? They just refused to compete. Ozil was totally invisible. Something to do with his contract demands?
And the players not even acknowledging the travelling fans at the end?

I would have thought he would be playing his heart out for better contract, Christian. But you never know with these fkin players these days. Half of them don't even know the history of the club that pays them. They all probably now want to go to China.
