Effective is a good word to describe him. But as a footballer or even as a striker, there's something about him that doesn't quite impress with me, like an RVN, Henry, Torres or Drogba.

I was always like that with RvP. Good striker but I'd never put him on the same level as Henry etc. Probably because of the injuries disputing his flow all the time. Same reason I don't rate Studge as highly as others I guess.

So many times in the past has a team looked like they're running away with the league only to stumble. This looks different though. Conte has the perfect balance and with their squad depth and no europe I can't see anyone bring them down.

He's the type of player you'd appreciate more if you watched him live. You can see his all round contribution to the team then and how much he actually works off the ball.

I once came across a poster who argued that watching a game live didnt give a better understanding of the whole game than watching it on Skysports <doh> Liverpool fan who lived in Ireland.

Anyway you just reminded me of that, but it's a fair point you've made. My opinion of him is tarnished slightly by watching him at Atletico and his ability of relying on space behind a defence, made him a bit overrated.

Don't worry they'll be touted for relegation again by this time next season

They will most likely win the title but today's match showed that they are far from invincible. With better luck palace would have gained a point. And we can all remember City at the beginning of the season, when everyone bar none said that they were going to walk it. A few injuries, some suspensions and they drop 5-6 points. Easily done :bandit:

Our job is not just keeping with Chelsea but trying to stay in that top 4. It looks like 4 teams will be struggling for 3 places.

You not counting United in that bunch then?
They are only 3 points behind Spurs, a run of 2-3 wins could see United back in the mix.
Personally I think United will finish 5th, above Spurs.
1. Chelsea
2. Arsenal
3. Liverpool
4. City
5. United
6. Spurs

That's my top 6.

Do you think the mancs are in the CL mix? I think at the moment they are too far behind the 4th team. A few teams have to stumble for them to catch up.

But you never know in football. Things could change very quickly.

Chelsea, LFC, Arsenal City, Spurs MU is my order...

Don't think they will gwt top 4 because i cannot see them clawing back 6 points over City but i can cwrtainly see them overtaking Spurs. You never know
