Topofthegame for Nicholls in the Ascot card commencer comes with a tall reputation - absolutely hammered No Hassle Hoff (3rd in the Grade 2 stayers hurdle at Cheltenham last weekend) in a p2p back in March and will know his job here. Should be a decent price looking at the tissue .............. King's horse the likely fav. Might be worth getting involved early doors Thursday when the first prices go up.

Very nice listed bumper at Ascot where the Warren Greatrex trained Western Ryder should go well at a decent price. After hacking up on bumper debut at Ffos Las in May (good ground), this son of Westerner probably found the going a little on the soft side when just going down by a short head to Infinite Sun under a penalty at Market Rasen. The 3rd that day (and only other within shouting distance of the front 2), Philipp Hobbs' Sneaky Feeling, sprang a major shock at Newbury yesterday when beating Bags Groove. Sporting Life have Western Ryder at 8/1 on the tissue which feels pretty decent.

Uttoxeter bumper should go to Dead Right - always back Alflora's on bumper debut on soft or heavy. They usually just keep tanking on when the others have cried enough.

My online bookies (racebets) are tight buggers with early prices but I get to watch all races on HD stream so I put up with it.

    Fiver patent on:

    12.45 Ascot Topofthegame 5/2
    3.30 Uttoxeter Dead Right 9/4
    3.40 Ascot Western Ryder 7/1

Hopefully something to come back on that baby <ok>

I like the pair that already have listed form. BOREHAM BILL and IMPERIAL ELOQUENCE. There was bugger all between them the last day and I cannot split them tomorrow.
At Uttoxeter I am sweet on ROCK MY STYLE. Greatrex is a master in these events and has an exceptional record with them here!

    Good luck with yours.

    Just two personal fancies

1 35 Newcastle - Mister Bob 11/1 favorite will be tough to beat but sure mister bob will put up a tough challenge to make it back 2 back wins, won over c&d last time

3 50 Newcastle - Invincible Ridge 20/1 feels like he's been around for ages, very good horse on his day and on a winning mark in an open race with the brilliant rachel richardson onboard and taking a useful 3 lbs off

Chelsea has already posted up my fave for the day with Mister Bob at Newcastle.
I'm avoiding Ascot and throwing my dart at Uttoxeter with Glimpse of Gold in the 13.45.
(Really interested to see how Annie Alainn goes in the 13.10 at the same race course, very impressive LTO)

Good Luck all and enjoy your weekend.

Just had chance to glimpse at the replay- 'big and backward' was what Nicholls desrcribed him as so I should think he will be better with experience, so it was promising.

I thought Greatex' runner in 4th looked one for some promise. Kept on nicely and up in trip should suit one day.

Goodness Captain Forez looks a future star when going chasing. Captains was superb from the front and the form looks solid with respect to the third home who I think was very unlucky at Cheltenham.

Worrying weakness in the JENKINS form with the second and now the third getting turned over this week???

Nice winner Oddy, brown pants job on the run in though <laugh>

That today was a good performance and BG was well clear of the rest. I'd say the form looks solid.
