Is that what you guys are trying to sign these days? The club obviously aren't that confident in him though as they have only signed him on a 2 year deal.
Meh, we needed a left-back, the best left-back in the league below was available on a free, so why not eh?
He also had a good pedigree, coming through the ranks at PSG.... prior to a short spell of slumming it in Bermondsey
We did sign Tom Kennedy in similar circumstances and never played him. Let's hope Bakayogo lives up to the promise.
We have a clause that allows us to return him to Tranmere ... commonly known as the 'Back-a-yo-go' sanction ................... coat please, I thank you and goodnight.
So, he came from TRFC were he was RELEASED because they have now just got LB Evan Horwood from Hartlepool & he (ZB) did´nt turn up for pre-season training in June. Ummm ? I guess we´ll just have to wait & see how this one pans out. "DON`T FORGET TO CHECK OUT MY SIGNATURE"
He was offered a new contract but turned it down ... presumably because his agent had informed him that he had 'better options' ...as such not reporting back for pre-season is understandable - he seems to have done well at Tranmere by most accounts and has improved over his time there ... I'm happy to have an 'improving' player try his luck with us personally - by contrast Paul Konchesky will not get any better and if this frees Schlupp up to play further forward all well and good. Only time will tell.
Was a poor defender - can't remember who we played in the League cup but he was all over the place defensively but was a good attacker.
i thought he was very composed and always looked to play a simple ball rather than hoof it (a little like joe mattock did when he broke through). I thought he was a better option than the rest at the time (was it berner though?) and certainly would have been better than mcgivern. Last season we were crying out for another LB and i think he would have either improved konch via competition or more likely ousted him. When we played Barnsley (probably lost?) i thought he was one of the bets players on the park.
