Sorry Dai but I agree with Never. It's been good TV over the years but it's tired, contrived, possibly faked and is the epitome of lowest common denominator TV. Sorry for contributing. <ok>

I am afraid I am with Never on this one. I can't stand Simon Cowell.
Dai you did ask the question does anyone watch it so can't see what's wrong with Never replying that he doesn't.

I don't watch the Show, but stumbled across this Choir from North Wales who appeared in 2015.

I've sung in mixed Choirs, tenor line, and this Choir is seriously good. I would have loved to have been singing with them.

I have produced the three performances, in order, that took them to The Final, where they lost to dog act.

"Benedictus", written by Karl Jenkins, from Penclawdd.

    "The Prayer".

    "Hallelujah", written by Leonard Cohen.

Losing to the dog act (Only the bloody British could vote a dog), put me off the show, this is some serious Choir (Choir Côr Glanaethwy). The X factor has already shown how much of a joke they are in putting out some really good singers, including the young girl from Clydach in the last show.............<ok>

This summed up for me the Dog winning, comment from a members of the public to the shows video:

"I'd give a month's salary to see them in concert!! I still can't believe they lost to a dog act!! OMG!! I love dogs, but, that was a totally crazy result! Shame on the UK public". - Teresa Harry

"They are better than world class, it's a privilege to have seen and heard them. They should have won. There must have been more dog lovers watching the final. Shame really." - Jennifer Wedgbury

They deserve this break though Vetch, great read on Walesonline arrticle:

The 167-piece choir are singing at Carnegie Hall soon - and recording an album
Britain’s Got Talent finalists Côr Glanaethwy are preparing to play New York’s iconic Carnegie Hall to top off a whirlwind year for the vocal group.
“Even though it’s business as usual, that platform does give you an opportunity to do things differently for a while,” he said. “It gives you quite a big exposure that you don’t realise or appreciate at the time because you’re just so involved in the whole thing. “You don’t realise there’s 12 million people watching you and millions more on YouTube.”

Their exit from the show saw them perform a homecoming concert in Bangor last year, followed by a UK tour and a trip to Patagonia where members helped mark the 150th anniversary of the South American Welsh settlement. The group are now set to start work on their first studio album.

Meanwhile he hopes the choir’s album will be in the shops before Christmas, although the logistics of recording it is likely to cause “a bit of a headache”.
