Nearly time he came home and was given a chance. I think he would make a stonking wing back a la Moses.
Followed Moses all his career as there's palace fans in my family, always thought he was a great talent.Strange how both of our italian managers were the only ones to notice this.I like the attacking wingbacks, would like to see azpi used as a defensive wingback when needed.
Definitely, he has been a success at every club he has been loaned to, and he will surely come back next year an even better player. Most impressive is how he manages to fit in so well at these loan clubs after all, it cannot be easy to gel with a fresh set of team mates every season.
Equally impressive is the fact that he has been used in different positions by each club and still looked comfortable.
That is true, he has been used in a variety of positions, maybe no one has found his best one though, I suppose that is what managers are supposed to do.
I would like to see him settle in MF, he has the ability going forward but also a good defensive brain. As a LB his attacking instincts are curtailed and he is no winger, box to box MF maybe?
that is a great idea tbh. We are begging for box to box mid fielders. We have only Matic & Kante. Chalobah as understudy. Literally no one else there. Someone mentioned Ake was loaned out to learn the box to box role. but he is only used as CB or LB. Depressing tbh. He can be better utilized with us than the loan teams. But not sure whether he would get all 90 mins for us. Ed didn't give Ake any mins for good 7 or 8 games. That was depressing. Last 2 or 3 weeks Ake is getting full 90 mins for Bournemouth. Hope Eddie continues that. That is the only positive - full 90 mins in PL - which is no mean task even if it means, he is not played in the preferred position. Will be depressing if Ake is benched when Daniels is fit. Ake would have been better than Rahman last season.
Well United are 13 points behind us so it's apparently Jose's to lose That is unless they fall 14 points behind, then they won't win it.
