    Anyone else upgraded yet ?

First impressions so far are good, looks like it could be the hit Microsoft need again after the Vista & Windows 8 disasters & short lived Windows 7

I upgraded a couple of days ago, all good so far. Anything would have been an improvement on Windows 8.

Easy upgrade, quick, made WIn7 Pro look better without tiling my screen which was my worry.

    Genuinely impressed.

Has it got my Windows7 games though SirB? I can't be doing with these modern games, I need Hearts, Freecell & Mahjong ........... if it hasn't got 'em, they can shove their free download.

i went for w10. seemed fine. tried running vs2012 express and it said there was a file missing so i reinstalled (choosing "repair") vs2012express. now my web connection won't last for more than a few seconds at a time when it's fine on another pc.

update: deletion of vs2012 appears to have stopped this. will get a more recent version of vs.

notification is optional. if you click the white flag icon and it's downloaded the files, you can tell it to install whenever you like. mine took a few hours. i started it before i went to bed.

I checked the white windows icon a few times but it still says it could be days or weeks. It says if you're a techie you can do it yourself but i'm not that into computers.

Downloaded Thursday night. Broadly working OK, but pretty slow and no support for my Bluetooth dongle so lost my headphones. I'm sure I'll get used to it

You get the upgraded "Microsoft Solitaire Collection" for Freecell, Mahjong's unchanged from 8.1, not sure if that was the same as 7 or not though? Microsoft Sudoku's pretty good as well to be fair, but no sign of Hearts

Well the upgrade broke my LAN driver - no network at all, (subsequently found out this happens if you have a VPN Client installed on Win 7/8.1). So freshly installed from scratch, but then it would not activate, (no Product Key). So needed to do a basic reinstall of 8.1, and then upgrade again. Bloody pain, but now it's settled down I do quite like it. Much slicker and quicker than 8.1 - just annoyed they've got rid of Media Center completely now which I've used for years.

Impressed that I didn't need to reinstall any programs, but underwhelmed at windows itself. Hardly any changes from 8.1
