Hardest election to call that I remember, I've been feeling for a few weeks that no one will get a majority. There's a lot of angry OAP's over the social care bill, especially in traditional Tory strongholds where they've saved all their lives to have a comfortable retirement just to see the Tories wipe it out. Most independents will be taking votes from them rather than Labour.

Definitely hung Parliament with around 10 seats to declare. Theresa May gambled and lost. She'll be gone by lunchtime today I reckon :)

I wrote this on the thread on our board, but not sure if I am missing something.

The BBC are still saying Tories will get 318 votes, but by my reckoning they will get 322 and that will give them a majority of one once you take out Sinn Fein's seven seats as they never attend parliament to vote.

They got 331 last time and have lost 11 seats at the minute which would put them on 320, but they will pick up 2 extra seats in Scotland still. With 10 DUP seats that looks like a working majority, but they will really struggle with centrist Tories over anything hardline. They aren't exactly known as the most loyal MP's in parliament.

If the Tories take Richmond which from the smiles it looks like they might have done) that would give them a majority of three.

I haven't included the Speaker - so maybe that would be two.

    What am I missing?

Tories are projected to get 318, so with support from the 10 DUP MPs, they could just about form a majority in Parliament.

But this is very much not business as usual for the Tory ****ers :)

The DUP support a much softer Brexit too so it won't be all plain sailing for them with that.

Laughing my arse off at 'Strong & Stable' Theresa May. She took her majority, arrogantly thought she could increase it by ****ing off just about everybody in the country and they have told her to ****ing do one :)

She didn't look strong or stable when giving her acceptance speech at her count.

Yep, Brexit has just been turned on it's head. Even with a DUP support, there is no way the Tories are going to be able to steamroller ahead with their hard Brexit plans.

I still think they will get to 322 unless they lose another seat they already hold. They should only need 322 when you factor in Sinn Fein. The problem they have is that not all of their MP's will support a very hard brexit.

My constituency is still to be declared. It's a marginal between Tory / Lib Dem, I think they could lose it.

Looks like my maths was off. There's only 10 seats left to declare and they would need to win them all to get 322. At least one is between SNP and Lib Dems.

Spectacular **** up by May and her bumbling crew.

Eleven days from the start of crucial negotiations with Brussels on a plethora of issues, and the country effectively has no Gvt.

    Well done!....<doh>

To be fair, a hung Parliament with May still as Prime Minister is one of the worst possible outcomes.
