I deny it because I've never seen it happen.

I get that he instigates contact on occasion but I've never seen him fall over thin air like other players do. The two debateable ones were the one where he got sent off against West Ham at home (I'd have given a goalkick, both players ran into each other) and Arsenal away where Monreal stuck his leg out (He could have missed it but why bother when you've been given such a golden opportunity?)

Mahrez is the one who flat out dives every now and then, although I've not seen him really profit from it. He's terrible at it.

Instigating contact and going down is worse than a straight dive, as it's harder to get the decision right.
It's what Dele Alli did against Swansea and it's what Jamie Vardy does every bloody week.
You seem to think that it's somehow better, when it's actually the opposite.

Vardy v Man Utd with Clattenburg as the ref:

    Vardy v Turkey:

    Vardy v West Ham:

    Constant.

It's the same. A dive is a dive. Going down under minimal contact is no better or worse than going down under no contact. Either way it's trying to con the ref.

IMO it's going to be bloody hard to stomp out now. They should have dealt with it the moment it first started showing up as a problem.

It's been a problem for decades. Francis Lee had a reputation for it in the 60s.
The difference is that we can see it for certain, now.

The Man United one is soft but Rafael shoves him in the back, I can't believe he gave it mind because Vardy shoved him first. Both are fouls.

Against Turkey. ****ing hell you're clutching at straws there.

The one against West Ham is one I've already told you about. I actually think that if Vardy doesn't step across he'd get the pen anyway. Ogbonna looked desperate to foul him.

How can instigating contact be worse than falling over nothing? Come off it.

  7. Akky is never going to admit that Vardy is a serial diver. Equally, he is never going to let go of this myth that Alli is a serial diver.

There is absolutely no point in debating the point with him.

He will always see it one way, and we will see it the other. Anything more is merely repetition.

Thanks for proving my point. Obvious, blatant dives and you still can't admit it.
Rafael shoves him in the back? <laugh>
Clutching at straws, when the commentator's calling him a diver and it's a clear dive? <laugh>
Gets correctly sent off, but he's the victim? <laugh>

Poor Saint Vardy, constantly being persecuted. :emoticon-0106-cryin

I'd say they both undoubtedly are.

Like others have said, most players are at it now.

Tadic probably our worst, Long pretty bad too.

Mane was the worst in the league last season. Constant dives and nasty fouls to go along with it, too.
Still does it at Liverpool, but he pissed off for a big chunk of the campaign, so he had less opportunity to do it.

You've literally posted video evidence that proves my point. Not once has he fallen over without sufficient enough contact. Yet you'll still maintain that it's worse that falling over thin air, merely because it's Vardy.

I'm amazed you think the Turkey one is even close to a dive. Nevermind what the melty co-commentator thinks, this happened not long after the West Ham game where the world was out to get him. Vardy is going full pelt and gets a straight arm shove in the back <laugh> You've posted the video with the slow motion that proves it ffs <rofl>

As I've said. Rafael is clearly fouled by Vardy, to the point where it's not even discussion. He then gets up in a huff and does the same. Two wrongs don't make a right. The referee was wrong to not award a freekick (It happened about 20 yards from me, still can't believe he didn't give it) but right to give the foul. The camera angle is awful though.

I'd say that Long is similar to Vardy. Won't take much to knock them over when they're going the speed that they run.

You're seeing what you want to see.
Vardy clearly and obviously initiates contact and then throws himself on the floor in each of those clips.
    They're all really blatant dives.

You were probably amazed that he wasn't hospitalised after Nasri viciously battered him. Could've killed him.
