please log in to view this image If you look at the lines on the pitch, I reckon the "goal" by Okako should have been given. Mind you the lino probably couldn't see through or round him.
Why do we have offside? it would teach teams to defend properly, if they want to. All the WH players are looking at the ball when at least one should be watching Okako so why should they not be punished for that basic error?
Some years ago (20 perhaps) they experimented in the Conference playing without an offside rule. It produced dreadful football, perhaps because players waited upfield in the hope of long balls reaching them. I watched Wealdstone a few times that year and seem to remember a succession of chaotic scrambles in each penalty area.
