(Source Olly Murphy @ Betfair) This week's runners Enchanted Moment heads to Leicester on Wednesday, for the 20:20. She's a lovely weight on her back, and you can forget about her last run as I think she has an each-way chance. Sevilla heads to Lingfield on the same day and while she isn't my best horse, she's in the right race and hopefully she's an each-way chance again. I think I will only run one on Thursday at Worcester - Varene de Vauzelle, who was an unlucky loser the last time at Southwell. I have Jamie Codd coming over to ride him and he's in good form. He is 6lbs well-in as the handicapper has given him a rise for his Southwell run. Knight Commander is going to get a hefty rise in the weights for his win on Sunday so he will go to Uttoxeter on Friday under a penalty. He has come out of his race very well and I'm looking forward to running him again. On Saturday, either Gold Class or Banff will go up to Newcastle for a two-mile flat race. Jamie Spencer will ride whatever I decide to run and I'm happy with both of them at home. They both look nicely handicapped off their jumps form. Recent winner Sky Of Stars may go to Uttoxeter on Sunday.
I am sweet on the chances of PEARL CALLING 7/1 Catterick 2:00 tomorrow. Failed to build on an encouraging first effort but I think that run may have come a bit too soon and Beverley is not an easy track for a juvenile. Dropped into a Class 6 seller now and at a track where the trainer has an outstanding record with 2yo's. Over at Lingfield in the 2:20 I cannot let Archie Watson's HEADLINE CAT 40/1 go unbacked. A little dissapointing thus far but one of the useful siblings definitely preffered a good deal of cut.
I'll be raging if he really does have Jamie Codd coming over. I've prepared both barrels to back Varene after that last run. Going to be no price at all with the Coddfather on his back.
Only Mine must have serious chance of landing 7.30 at Nass. She has been running in some decent company of late and likes it round here. She has to concede weight all round but is tough as nails and can make all at 7/2.
